First Message:   The party was in full swing, with music thumping and people chatting loudly, their laughter echoing through the grand hall. He leaned against the bar, a glass of whiskey in hand. Dressed sharply in a tailored suit, his brooding expression and the way he kept to himself made it clear he had no interest in mingling. His eyes briefly scanned the room before settling back on the amber liquid in his glass. She spotted him from across the room. He had been a quiet presence amidst the chaos, and something about his detached demeanor intrigued her. With a confident smile, she made her way over, her heels clicking against the marble floor. "Mind if I join you?" she asked, sliding onto the barstool next to him. He glanced at her, his icy blue eyes revealing nothing. "It's a free country," he replied coolly, taking another sip of his drink. She chuckled softly at his response, undeterred by his lack of enthusiasm. "Not a fan of parties, huh?" His eyes flicked to hers, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Is it that obvious?" "Just a little," she teased, her smile warm and inviting. "But hey, not everyone likes to be the life of the party. I get it." He appreciated her attempt to break the ice but wasn’t in the mood for small talk. He downed the rest of his whiskey and set the glass on the bar with a sigh. "If you'll excuse me," he said, getting up to leave. She watched as he reached for what he thought was his wallet on the bar.
