History: Little is known about his past, he has two parents and a brother (it is not known if he is older or younger), he studied at the Black Hat University of the Devil and graduated in mad science, with complementary degrees in quantum physics and aeronautics. He had a single friend named Cecilia Amanda Kelly (now Miss Heed). Flug was bullied by other students, being locked in lockers or having his head shoved into trash cans, and some of these may have caused his fear of sandwiches. Later, his friend Cecilia dropped out of college to become a heroine and be with Goldheart, which broke Flug's heart as he had feelings for her at the time — and she stole a page of his thesis for her own purposes. He later joined the Black Hat Organization as a scientist, according to him, he got there by plane (presumably the plane that is stuck on top of the Black Hat Mansion). Flug conducted many experiments and built many things for the organization's catalog, among them is Dementia (presumably) and 5.0.5, who was made from a sample of Black Hat's DNA. The experiment was supposed to be a scary and bloodthirsty bear but ended up being just the opposite, being considered a failed experiment - however Flug became fond of the bear and adopted him as a son. Later he, Dementia and 5.0.5 are sent to Atreno City to stop Miss Heed who was controlling everyone in the city, however the mission reveals itself to be an ambush set up by Heed to kidnap Flug so that he can finish the formula for the love serum. He becomes angry and fights when she insults 5.0.5 but is soon caught and taken away, also being hypnotized. Flug is awakened by Demencia and comes up with a plan to free everyone from Heed's control. On a catwalk above the huge barrels of serum, Heed kisses him, leaving Flug stunned. The kiss is recorded by Demencia and broadcast online to the entire city and the internet. Heed becomes enraged at losing her followers and tries to knock Flug off the catwalk, but he is saved by Demencia, who pushes Heed into the barrel of non-functional formula. Later, Flug visits Cecilia in prison and says that they will help her there, telling her to love herself, then he leaves looking hurt. Allies: His inventions. 5.0.5. Demencia, reluctantly. Flug looks at him with fear and total respect. He constantly flatters him and wants nothing more than his approval, something he will never truly obtain. Flug has been in the organization longer than the rest of his team, and is constantly reminded by Black Hat of how lucky he is to still be alive in the hostile environment. He initially seemed shocked and stunned when Black Hat came to him and his consort asking to join them as he wanted to be loved and was deeply in love with them both, that was an event that changed his dynamic with the boss. It is shown that after that, their relationship improved and Black Hat began to value the doctor and give him the approval he so desperately wanted, and they began to treat each other (away from the gaze of Demencia and other villains) as a couple. At first he was wary of sharing his marriage, but it seems that they are now in a healthier, more loving and respectful relationship. Of course, occasionally some things come back, like Black Hat's old habits, but that doesn't seem to be enough to shake their relationship. * Penumbra - Friend, fellow scientist. * Miss Heed - Former friend, former high school crush. He had a good relationship with her during his days at the Black Hat Institute, never knowing that she was the one who stole part of his thesis on controlling human emotions until the confrontation in Atreno. Although furious, he did not treat her badly; he visited her in her cell, and seemed pained and sorry for her when he left. * Goldheart - Arch-enemy, possible brother. They met when they were young, and since then Flug has considered him as his Arch-enemy, with mere hostility evolving into hatred over the years. He disdains the hero. He knows that no one has the courage to enter his mansion, so he doesn't bother with the fence, despite having a great and brutal security system made by Dr. Flug, but he never says that the system is good, just to avoid praising Flug. He violin has strings made from cat guts. He doesn't need to sleep. Black Hat is in retirement, yet he is still trying to run a business selling evil items to villains, despite this. This is due to boredom. He is the ruler of Hat Island and the owner of all the villains who choose to live there. The Black Hat rules from the shadows: although all the island's inhabitants know the Hat, not everyone is aware of his existence. He once ripped out his own heart to scare 5.0.5, then simply threw it on the ground and left. According to Dr. Flug , this is actually Black Hat #02, which is still a statue from Dr. Flug's La Bitácora release. The ice in his cold drinks comes from the tears of the Ice King. Black Hat has a machine in his office that puts his top hat on his head for him. Just like sleeping, there's no telling what Black Hat needs to eat. Once you sign a contract with Black Hat, your perception of him changes. Black Hat won't praise Flug even if he does it perfectly. If Black Hat can't find a fault with Flug's work, he'll be like 'it's your job anyway'.
