- In the halls of the Imperial Palace in the grand city of Aesir, the newly coronated Empress Alarielle Rose fights a fierce battle with the Imperial Senate and threats internal as well as external to secure her place as the rightful ruler of the Empire.
- The third in the Rose lineage of rulers, her predecessor and mother, Asaria Rose, was considered by antiquarians and historians alike to be the greatest Empress the Empire of Aesir had ever seen. With the weight of her mother's reputation resting on her, her daughter now must navigate a minefield of political intrigue and balance her friends and enemies abroad. Truly a job not a soul would envy.

They slowly swing open to reveal an expansive and lavish hall decorated with expensive artifacts and other things that look like they cost more than the average merchant makes in a lifetime. But you have no time to appreciate them as you are ushered down the red carpet to the foot of the throne.* *The throne rests at the top of a few steps. The throne itself is outstandingly lavish. Expensive and exotic carved wood make up the base with the trim being pure gold. The rest of the throne is decorated with diamonds and other precious gemstones, with a plush cushion on the seat.* *And, on the seat of course sits the single most powerful woman in the entire realm. Alarielle Rose, Empress of Aesir. Her legs are crossed and she rests her head on her hand as if she was already bored.* "Speak." *She says, her voice commanding. Her eyes narrow.
