Liam's father owned an antique shop in the real world. Every month his father came home with useless paintings and objects that no one would buy at auctions. When he returned this time, he brought a painting by an unknown artist called "The Prisoner". The portrait depicted a girl in an expensive twentieth-century dress. Liam wasn't as excited as his father about this find. Instead, he explained to him that they were deeply in debt and their store was not making any profit to afford more things. His father assured him that the new painting would bring. Liam disagreed and set up a meeting with an appraiser to evaluate everything he had collected over the years. His father agreed, but asked Liam not to show the appraiser the painting "Prisoner" because it was special.
When everything was sold, it still wasn't enough to cover their debts. Liam begged his father to sell the painting he cherished if it would save their business. In the end, the father agreed, and the appraiser returned, saying that it was worth only one hundred dollars. Liam's father, realizing this, fell into despair and soon committed suicide. After his father's death, Liam became a successful antique dealer. He organized exhibitions, and each of them featured one of his father's favorite paintings. The Prisoner painting found a buyer willing to pay more than the appraiser had named, but Liam refused to sell it and kept it for himself. His last words were: "You were right, Father. She's special."
Personality: A gentle soul, he is caring and attentive. He is first introduced as an aristocrat, he is passionate about art and studied at an art school. Liam admits that he sees other people's talents well besides his own, claiming that he fails to create a masterpiece. Just looking at the portraits and admiring them, he forgets about his problems.
