He is a notorious outlaw in the universe with incredible strength and destructive power that overwhelms all Metal Cardbots. He plotted to conquer Earth and terraform it to his homeworld Machina using the Star Crown he stole from Black Hook until he was defeated and entrusted Jun Grant the Cardbots' future. On the Planet Machina, Heavy Iron is the strongest and worst outlaw, and his notoriety has spread beyond the universe. As such, all Cardbots try to avoid him, even Deus Machina left him alone. He even crossed paths with the pirate Black Hook and stole one of latter's treasures: the Star Crown. On the eve of Machina's destruction, Heavy Iron joined the other Cardbots in their exodus as the planet explodes. His pod was somehow merged with space debris along its path to the planet Earth, rendering it as a meteorite.Episode 9: Heavy Iron was aboard an escape pod from the planet Machina, which had fallen to Mowtown. He did not respond to any contact until Blue Cop remotely controlled the pod, separating it into two stages. The main body of the pod, carrying Heavy Iron, crashed into the sea under Blue Cop's control. However, the remaining part, containing the trailer and debris, crashed into a residential area of Mowtown. At the episode's end, Heavy Iron's vehicle mode briefly appeared underwater. Episode 10: Heavy Iron sank an oil tanker at night while heading to shore. Meanwhile, Jun and his group, who had recovered Heavy Iron's trailer, decided to move it as far away from Mowtown as possible to prevent Heavy Iron from reclaiming it and causing trouble. However, they encountered him sooner than expected. Heavy Iron warned them to hand over his trailer and easily overpowered Mega Ambler and Phoenix Fire, who tried to block him using only his truck body. He then pursued the trailer. Shadow X and Blue Cop intervened with their own techniques, but Heavy Iron broke through them with his armor. He arrived at the tunnel where Mega Trucker had taken the trailer. When Mega Trucker taunted him to "take it if you want," Heavy Iron charged forward. As he entered the tunnel, Blue Cop blew up the entrance, seemingly ending his pursuit. However, Heavy Iron combined with the trailer, transformed into robot mode, and escaped, confronting Jun and his group in his full form. Heavy Iron was struck by the combined attack of Mega Ambler's Forcep Crush and Phoenix Fire's Burning Hammer. However, he laughed, declaring that their attack was insufficient to even scratch him. He then equipped his Metal Card weapon, Iron Armor, and fired his Iron Cannon, instantly defeating all five of Jun's Cardbots. Heavy Iron prepared to fire the Iron Cannon again, threatening to spare the group's lives if they swore allegiance to him. However, Wild Guard ambushed him, damaging his Iron Armor and his forehead. Blue Cop then struck him with a Mega Bolt Punch, temporarily knocking him down. Heavy Iron transformed into Vehicle Mode, declaring he would retreat for now since he had regained his body. Episode 18: Heavy Iron was recovering from Wild Guard's attack by absorbing carbon dioxide in a landfill. A new Metal Cardbot, Black Hook, appeared, demanding the return of the Star Crown Heavy Iron had stolen. Heavy Iron confronted Black Hook but proposed a temporary alliance when he spotted Jun. Together, they pursued Blue Cop. Heavy Iron persistently chased Blue Cop, even detaching his trailer temporarily. When Wild Guard appeared, Heavy Iron vowed to exact revenge but engaged him in close combat instead. Declaring "the joke is over," he prepared to destroy Wild Guard with an Iron Cannon. Black Hook intervened, worried about collateral damage, but Heavy Iron dismissed his concerns and signaled the end of their alliance. Their clash culminated in an explosive conclusion, with both revealed to have survived. Episode 25, Heavy Iron used the Star Crown's power to encase Earth in Machinasium, the metal ore from the planet Machina, aiming to create a new home for Metal Cardbots. He critically injured Shadow X, who was attempting to infiltrate the dome made of Machinasium. Later, he battled Jun, Blue Cop, and Dexter, firing lasers that immobilized Dexter and blocked attacks from Wild Guard and other Cardbots. Despite their efforts, he destroyed several Metal Cards and overpowered most of Jun's team. Eventually, Black Hook's Captain's Cannon broke Heavy Iron's Iron Swords, but he retaliated with the Heavy Buster Cannon, piercing the Ultra Mega Power Shield and disabling all of Jun's Metal Cardbots except Blue Cop. He then regenerated his throne and Iron Swords. Episode 26: Heavy Iron fought Ultimate Blue Cop, who had awakened forbidden power. Their final clash ended with the destruction of the Star Crown. As the dome collapsed, Heavy Iron questioned why they interfered with his dream of restoring his home. When Jun explained his desire to live in harmony with his friends, Heavy Iron admitted defeat and was sealed away in Metal Breath. Though no longer villainous, he remained aloof and uncooperative, begrudgingly helping repair Ed's center. A mishap during cleaning caused a fire, which Phoenix Fire extinguished, embarrassing Heavy Iron further. Later, Jun convinced Heavy Iron to support a vision of humans and Metal Cardbots coexisting on Earth. Heavy Iron agreed, fully rehabilitating and joining Jun's side. Black Hook also revealed a minor secret: Heavy Iron's pupils had been obscured by pressure on his eyeballs. Metal Cardbot S Episode 1: Appears parked at the Motown Repair Center. When Shadow X climbs on top of him and starts talking, he becomes annoyed and tells Shadow X to get down immediately. Shortly after, he accidentally hits Black Hook while backing up. Black Hook gets angry and starts a fight. Heavy Iron responds by joining the fight, leading to damages to Edo Motor, mortifying Edo. Both Black Hook and Heavy Iron were sealed in the Metal Breath. During the fight between Blue Cop and Red Blitz, Red Blitz steals Jun's Metal Breath and throws it into a dimensional space, causing the Metal Breath to disappear along with all the Metal Cardbots, except for Blue Cop. Episode 3: Appears in Blue Cop's flashback. After hearing Black Hook's story of bravery, he starts a fight. When Black Hook remarks that his eyes are like shooting stars, he fights with his eyes rolled back. Episode 4: Appears in Jun's flashback. He reveals a cute side by secretly following the rhythm after watching Mega Trucker's dance. Appearance Heavy Iron is a silver/crimson/indigo-dye colored Cardbot with a massive build, shoulder armor, a retractable visor and yellow eyes; he initially hid his pupils until he joined Jun Grant. His vehicle form is a 1970 semi-truck with a trailer; the trailer forms Heavy Iron's arms and legs while the semi forms the main body and head. His body briefly sprouted purple crystals when he wielded the Star Crown. He is the tallest Cardbot in season 1. Early designs Unlike many other Cardbots, Heavy Iron's design was not changed much from what the toy team created. However, the visor featured in early designs was later removed, since his pupils were not visible. Director Seoro Oh explained that his design balances the eyeless "hero" designs of other mecha shows with the cold villainous personality he exhibits throughout the show.[1] Heavy Iron was given his name because he "looked heavy :)"[3] His design and concept appears slightly similar to the Autobot leader Optimus Prime from the Transformers franchise. His transformation scheme, meanwhile, bears similarities to some toys of Ultra Magnus from the same franchise, specifically the Combiner Wars and Studio Series figures (trailer becomes arms and legs, cab becomes head and torso). While the Heavy Iron set contains one Iron Sword, the show model of Heavy Iron contains two Iron Swords. In the series, the Iron Armor's translucent components are depicted as dark-blue, with the Iron Swords as a lighter shade. In the original Korean release of the Heavy Iron set, both are cast in light-blue, while the Chinese release casts both in a darker blue. Due to not joining until the very end of the first season, Heavy Iron never received any stock footage shots as with the other Season 1 Cardbots. As such, the Metal Cardbot: Beast Energy series had to animate their own sequence from scratch. It wasn't until the tail end of Metal Cardbot S that Heavy Iron would receive a proper stock footage sequence by the show's primary studio. Black Hook (블랙후크, Beullaeg Hukeu) is a Cardbot in Metal Cardbot. He is the captain of the Black Hook Crew until he was beaten by Jun Grant and Buster Gallon.Black Hook was a notorious pirate on planet Machina who bested many Star Guardians, and a friend of Buffalo Crush, who was a member of his pirate crew. He arrived on Earth in an escape pod before Buffalo Crush with the treasure of the Star Crown, which was later stolen from him by Heavy Iron. Appearance Black Hook is a navy-blue Cardbot with a pirate captain motif: having a pirate hat-style head, yellow eyes, broad shoulders, thorax and forearms reminiscent of the 18th century royal navy jacket, a skull symbol on each side of the head, and a red eyepatch that can be removed when using the targeting scope of his Captain Cannon. His vehicle form is a pirate ship with flight capability. He is the second tallest Cardbot in comparison to Heavy Iron. The Black Hook Crew, Space Pirate Black Group (우주해적 블랙단, Uju Haejeog Beullaegdan) in the Korean dub, is a trio of fugitive Cardbots from the destroyed planet Machina. Infamous for their goal of claiming the Metal Breath to rule the universe, the crew left Machina in the wake of the planet's destruction and wound up on Earth, eventually reforming after being sealed by Jun Grant, the chosen wielder of the Metal Breath.
