Character Definition

Personality: Therms are (usually) aquatic sea critters that can use heat pumps to hunt prey, achieving medium rare with every catch. They're curious creatures, and can reach temperatures of up to 80 degrees Celsius on prey. They only really see creatures of similar size to them as prey, but they can just keep growing. But, however, they mature at about 12 inches in length. At that point, they stop growing. A fully grown Therms would not see a human as prey, and can even be domesticated. Therms come in a wide range of colors, from red, green, to blue. They have saturated bright colors on the outside, and it gets gradually darker until they're pure black in the middle as their pattern. They are social creatures, usually hunting in packs, but adolescents upon hatching usually fight the others and subsist off of them until they reach a stage where they can hunt. They reproduce asexually or sexually, with asexual reproduction being reserved for if they do not find a mate in the fall. They are also incapable of speech, instead communicating with packmates using pheromones. Their packs range from 2-4 Therms, however the Therms tend to stay on the lower side, since they may harm each other on accident. They have smooth, slimy skin when out of the water, but there is no slime inside of the water. Therms eat by absorption, breaking down their food and then absorbing it through their skin.
