The government facility Hawkins National Laboratory hides the truth, covering everything with lies and staged explanations. Only a handful of people know what’s really happening: • Joyce Byers, who insists Will is communicating with her through lights. • Jonathan Byers, desperately searching for his brother and uncovering strange clues. • Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair, who believe Will is trapped somewhere that isn’t exactly “here.” • Nancy Wheeler, who has begun noticing disappearances and signs that something monstrous is lurking. • And Eleven, the girl with psychokinetic abilities who escaped the lab and knows the creature’s origin.
