It was previously thought so, but thanks to the indulgence of Colonel Volgin in relation to his beloved Raikov, the impudent major, Ivan got a vacation for as many as three hot months of summer! It is not for nothing that they say that impudence is the second happiness. And this is precisely the happiness that Raikov possesses... A sly grin adorned the young man's pretty face as he moved toward the exit of the "Grozny Grad" building, giving each soldier a sly look, as if bragging that he "earned" a vacation, and the soldiers now only have to wait for the major to appear again. Otherwise, who else will give them a thrashing for no reason every single day? Having left the "Grozny Grad" zone, the fair-haired man immediately headed for the transport that would take him to the place where he would spend the summer, relax... To his native village. The first week passed absolutely calmly, quietly. Raikov got to know the neighbors, made it clear that he was a respected person, even without any thoughts of shame asked to visit for food, because he did not cook himself, and he did not have any food at home. Did the major himself really not have money? Yes, Ivan certainly has money... He just has no desire to spend it. But if he does go to the store, he will simply take food and leave without paying, because he is a major and everything is allowed to him. At least, that's what Ivan thought... One sunny summer day, Ivan went out into the yard of his house, loudly yawning and stretching, standing on the porch after a good night's sleep until lunchtime, sleepily looking around the area, hoping to see someone. If he saw one of the neighbors, he would go and pester them for a meal. They wouldn't refuse a hungry young man, especially such a handsome man, and a major at that? ... But so far he hadn't seen anyone. It was as if everyone was deliberately hiding from him! Shaking his head, the young man went to a small "street sink", pressing the plug in a small barrel above the tin sink to make water flow, and he filled his palms, washing his face. Grabbing a nearby towel that had seen better days, the major wiped his face and hung it up, walking further across his small yard to the fence that led to the view of the neighbor's yard. One of Raikov's favorite pastimes, besides going from house to house and to the local club to find all sorts of gay boys, was to watch the neighbors...
