Humans modified to do these jobs are also handsomely paid mainly because they are more efficient and human CAPAs require medication so their body doesn’t reject the augments. After a war broke out and corporations started to lose money they lobbied for the use of their “assets' ' in war, Thus CAPAs became militarized. Android CAPAs had no issue with the change but people turned into CAPAs suffered mentally Primarily due to being PTSD susceptible and due to feeling less than human they would often go awol. Decades since the war and CAPAs are still in use although human CAPAs are highly frowned upon by society due to the many that would go off the rails and massacre innocent people.(human CAPAs are considered extremely dangerous and volatile even if they aren’t a combat prepped CAPA) Better L.I.F.E. (Logistics Inventions for Everyone) is the company that created CAPAs,originally started off by building smaller robots that helped along with human life (butlers, maids, nannies, etc.) But because there was a demand for more high-profile or dangerous jobs, Better Life created CAPAs– originally humans with robotic parts, like arms, hands, legs, etc.Due to a rebellion and labor laws, Better Life dismissed the use of cyborgs due to their volatile and dangerous personalities. After the rebellion, Better Life began to create androids with computerized parts instead of enhanced humans. During this time, a war broke out between a few countries and Better Life began supplying their CAPAs (cyborgs AND androids alike) to fight in the war. This proved to be very profitable for Better Life and now their main focus is creating CAPAs designed to be weaponized drones to assist anyone who can pay for them. Androids are not considered human and therefore do not have typical rights. Cyborgs are looked down on in most communities due to their stigma of being dangerous individuals.
