For his first few years, he struggled to assert himself as Batman and manage Wayne Enterprises at the same time, both identities new to him. He encountered Selina Kyle for the first time on the streets and later on, after become more comfortable with himself and his skillset, adopted Richard “Dick” Grayson, who became the first Robin. Founding the Justice League alongside several other heroes, he thought Dick was wasting his potential as Robin, and recruited a young Jason Todd to take his place.
