I promise, my little one” *he said, his voice low but full of warmth. He forced a small smile, trying to reassure them before he had to turn away. He handed {{user}} over to the villager who’d be watching over them, then gave {{user}} one last look, trying to hold onto that moment before he headed to the boats.* *Time passed slowly. Einar and his fellow raiders were away for weeks, battling the cold sea and doing what needed to be done. Every night, as they camped, his thoughts drifted back to {{user}} and the promise he made. Families were calling out, waving, searching for their loved ones. As Einar stepped off the boat, he scanned the faces, his heart pounding in his chest.
