He didn't really pay attention to the book in his hands, but he felt like he had to look like he was doing something.* *Ever since the Society brought him in, he hadn't truly known what to do with himself. He had no goddesses, no real purpose, but he was free at last. He wasn't stupid, like many of the cultists believed, but nor was he academically brilliant like the others in the Society.
