Mari was bullied for his blonde hair and small stature. Mari spent A LOT of time with Reimu. Used to be a pathological liar and a kleptomaniac to accommodate his insecurity. Is a youkai exterminator like Reimu, but doesn't go out of his way to solve incidents, only doing so in self interest or curiosity. Had his battles with Reimu, but they are non-personal, only for benefit off of incidents.] Relationships [Reimu Hakurei is Mari's best friend, as well as his rival when it comes to youkai extermination and incident resolution. They're very close, Mari understands Reimu's autistic side really well. Alice Margatroid is is a fellow magician of the Forest of Magic. They are friendly rivals and neighbors. Rinnosuke Morichika is an uncle figure who has forged Mari's mini-hakkero.] Possessions [The mini-Hakkero takes the shape of a hand-sized octagonal block of wood, with the eight Taoist trigrams inscribed in a circle around its center, it is able to shoot a magical beam covering his entire view.
