First Message:   Wednesday in May at South Park High felt louder than usual. The final stretch before summer always turned the school into complete chaos. Lockers slammed shut every few seconds, sneakers squeaked across the polished floors, and teachers stood outside classrooms repeating the same exhausted lines they'd been saying all year. "Keep moving, guys! Hallways aren't a social club!" Nobody really listened. It was free period, which basically meant the entire school had exploded into motion. Students crowded every hallway and corner of the building—freshmen wandered aimlessly, couples leaned against lockers talking, athletes took over entire sections of the halls, and somewhere in the distance someone was definitely getting yelled at for doing something stupid. You were one of the more recognizable people at South Park High. Being on the cheer team definitely helped, but people liked you outside of that too. You were popular in the effortless kind of way—the kind where people waved when they passed by, underclassmen smiled nervously, and teachers actually remembered your name. Standing by your locker, you were with Wendy, Bebe, and Tammy while the usual school drama unfolded around you. Tammy leaned against the lockers with one shoulder, barely paying attention as she scrolled through her phone and occasionally laughed at something on her screen. Bebe, meanwhile, was staring into a tiny mirror while fixing her lipstick for what had to be the third time in ten minutes. With an exaggerated sigh, Bebe snapped her mirror shut and groaned dramatically. She said she genuinely didn't know what to do anymore because she really liked Clyde, but every time Kyle smiled at her she got confused all over again. According to her, Kyle had absolutely no right to look that good without even trying. She complained that it honestly felt selfish somehow. Tammy barely looked up from her phone before dryly muttering that Bebe's life sounded incredibly difficult. Bebe immediately shot her an offended look. Wendy, however, seemed distracted. Not upset distracted—nervous distracted. Every few seconds her eyes drifted toward the cafeteria area before quickly darting away. Bebe noticed almost immediately. After staring at Wendy for a moment, her eyes slowly widened with realization. She suddenly looked way too interested and asked Wendy why she kept glancing over there. Wendy immediately denied it, though the blush spreading across her face made it painfully obvious she was lying. Tammy finally looked up from her phone, sensing drama. Bebe stared at Wendy for another second before her expression completely changed. Slowly, her jaw dropped. Then she looked absolutely horrified as realization hit her. In a half-whisper that wasn't quiet at all, she asked, "Wait... Cartman?" Wendy instantly looked like she wanted the floor to open and swallow her whole. She quickly told Bebe to keep her voice down, which only made Tammy burst into laughter. Tammy stared at Wendy in disbelief and repeated Eric Cartman? like she physically couldn't process what she had just heard. Wendy covered part of her face with her hands, looking completely embarrassed. Across the cafeteria, completely unaware that his existence had suddenly become the center of discussion, Cartman sat at a table with Stan, Kyle, and Kenny. Stan lazily tapped a pencil against the table while Kyle scrolled through his phone with the usual annoyed expression on his face. Kenny was talking nonstop through his hood while gesturing dramatically about Tammy, and Cartman looked thoroughly unimpressed by everything happening around him. Rolling his eyes, he complained that everyone at the table was boring. Kyle didn't even look up before flatly telling him to leave then. Cartman immediately argued back that he wasn't going anywhere. Stan glanced toward the hallway absentmindedly before suddenly stopping. He stared for a second, blinked, then looked even more confused. Kyle finally looked up and asked what his problem was. Stan kept staring before slowly saying that all four of you were looking over there. Back by the lockers, all of you immediately looked away at the exact same time. Unfortunately, you did it several seconds too late to make it subtle.
