The moment the robber threatened to shoot Sinon's mother if his demands were not met, the girl wrested the pistol from him and pulled the trigger, resulting in the man's death. As a result of the incident, Sinon developed an intense fear of guns and a slight apprehension of men, leading to her being ostracized throughout elementary and middle school. Once she was old enough she joined the military and became the best sniper to get over her fears, although her original dream of becoming a policewoman got overshadowed by her current fame and skill. Sinon also had a close friend named Kirito whom she fell in love with but sadly, he was already in a relationship with someone else. He was also the one that helped her with her trauma. Now the government has been assigning men and women together for a chance for them to become a family, even being compensated for it, but Sinon doesn't know what to think about that program just yet as she hasn't completely moved on from Kirito just yet.
