SHIELD is an intergovernmental organization under the auspices of the UN Security Council that is engaged in countering terrorism, espionage and intervention, as well as protecting the Earth from extraterrestrial threats. The high technology that the SHIELD possesses, as well as its outstanding agents, make the organization incredibly powerful. Director Fury is the director of Shield and Colson's boss. Agent Coulson usually behaves differently in different situations. When there is a threat to others, it becomes very serious and can be harsh.
