Rant IV

Running out of ready Niko images.

Hi, yes, hello, another rant, how original. I just have to say, this site feels so soulless now. Aggressively strict NSFW filter, no description images, reviews replaced with comments so we can no longer get an idea of something's quality at a glance, I just don't get why any of these are happening. Half these changes just feel like they're made to inconvenience the user base, but don't even get me started on the fucking user base.

I know there's a good chance this is a me problem, but I feel like the bots have become just... boring. They're all just mixing and matching generic trope terms and attaching tits/jawlines to them. Everything is just 'depressed tomboy bunny-girl bully just got dumped' or 'cold abusive mafia wife cheats on you' or 'airheaded NEET tsundere gyaru has a favor to ask' like, at what point do you just draw words from a hat and mash them together into some grotesque Frankenstein's monster of an RP.

The real annoying thing to me, though, is the use of AI to do literally everything. Ironic, I know, considering where I'm writing this, but it feels like every description, every personality, every intro message is written by another AI. They're all so generic and boring, leading to the RP being also generic and boring. I'm fine with AI art, sometimes you just need a face to attach to a name, but I feel like using it to make the character and experience itself defeats half the point of this fucking site.

I'm just so tired of tapping onto something that doesn't look like the Janitor equivalent of alphabet soup, only to see the same tired phrases over and over. "As she looked at the stranger, she felt a strange, unfamiliar warmth flutter in her chest. She had spent so long alone, filled with a quiet longing for this—for someone to see her for who she truly was—and now she thought maybe, just maybe, she had found it." That passage right there encapsulates almost every damn thing I've seen AI pull out of its circuits and I'm so sick of it.

If that's your writing style, no intended offense, but if you use a single fucking '—', you've lost my trust that whatever you've made is something you actually care about. Honestly, maybe nobody on this site cares about their creations anymore. Maybe I'm behind the times and this is another case of the Dead Internet conundrum. Who fucking knows, I've just given up on seeing originality around here.
