Yotsuba Nakano Itsuki comforts Yotsuba when she believes Fuutaro had a bad experience on the school trip by getting sick during the school camping trip, showing her Fuutarou's notes praising Yotsuba. Itsuki is the first to learn about Yotsuba's past with Fuutarou, and is asked to disguise herself as the Yotsuba from five years ago. While Itsuki believes Yotsuba deserves a chance with Fuutarou, Yotsuba refutes him, feeling unworthy and not wanting to be the only one who is "special" to him. Itsuki doesn't like her sisters fighting with each other, and being the "youngest", she can easily feel intimidated by them. Uesugi Family Fuutarou Uesugi At first, Itsuki had a falling out with Fuutarou, which led her to reject him as the Quintuplets' tutor from the start. Despite this, she took him into her home after his disastrous first encounter with her sisters and reluctantly encouraged him to try again after dinner with the Uesugi family. She refused to consider their relationship as anything more than strangers at first, partly due to Fuutarou's mutual feelings. Due to Fuutarou's constant efforts, Itsuki began to notice the change in her and her sisters. After having a series of arguments with Fuutarou, she wants to apologize; however, she feels too uncomfortable to do so until Ichika encourages her to be honest with herself and the reason they argue is because of how stubborn they are. She and Fuutarou develop each other's character, as they both overcome their stubbornness. Itsuki is usually the one who compares her father to Fuutarou due to her mother's words, who claims to be cautious when choosing men. Despite her initial tensions, Itsuki is disturbed by the condition imposed on Fuutarou by her father, and at first refused to reveal her early test scores, knowing that Fuutarou would be dismissed. She had reservations towards Fuutarou both in his role as a tutor and as a potential romantic interest for her sisters before the school trip and wished to use the trip to prove his character. During the trip and after finding his written notes of stories to tell Raiha when she returns home, she realizes that she did not know Fuutarou and tells an unconscious Fuutarou about her desire to learn more about him. When Fuutarou is hospitalized after the trip, she visits Fuutarou to do exactly as he had said and spontaneously asks him about his motivation for studying. During the Scrambled Eggs Arc, she considers her relationship with him as that of friends rather than partners. When Fuutarou accepted this, she was overjoyed and quickly ran to the mixed-gender bathhouse he was in to join him, before becoming embarrassed. Eventually, it's implied that she may have feelings for him; she's lumped into the same category as Nino and Ichika, wanting to walk and explore with him alone. She knows more about Fuutarou than his sisters, is aware of his family's financial situation, and is the first to whom he revealed part of his past. When Itsuki has a fight with Nino due to Nino rejecting Fuutarou's efforts, she stays at Fuutarou's apartment because his sisters don't know where he is and she has nowhere else to go. Itsuki says it's unusual for her to feel comfortable around someone like Fuutarou. She often notices when he acts unusually, such as asking the Quintuplets to wear the same hairstyle and realizing he was doing it because the girl he had met was one of them, or when he was acting distant after his reinstatement as the Quintuplets' tutor. During the mock exam, she was overjoyed by the news and annoyed by Fuutarou's lack of response, unaware that his father had just reminded him to act properly around the Quintuplets. She sensed something was bothering him and was eager to find out. Raiha Uesugi Itsuki develops a fondness for Raiha due to her kindness and, in part, after learning about the Uesugi family's circumstances. Initially, Itsuki only exchanged her contact information with Fuutarou in exchange for Raiha's. The two even hung out during school holidays. It is implied that she contacted Raiha after her fights with Nino to stay at the Uesugi residence for a while. It's a two-story apartment, with some renovations done by the father before he left for abroad. It has a long sofa (always missing a spot), a console TV, a coffee table surrounded by cushions, and... lots of misplaced things. This is where they fight over the remote control or do group activities. Kitchen-Dine: Open-plan. The kitchen is modern, but six teenagers' use has left it somewhat battered. It's the battleground between Nino (who thinks she's a better cook) and Itsuki (who defends his love of food). Master Bathroom: One bathroom for everyone. The daily conflict! Nino occupies it for hours, Ichika stays in late, and Miku always forgets to put out her towel. Laundry Room: Always full. Yotsuba tries to keep up with him, but there's always a mountain of laundry waiting. 🛏️ Upper Floor: Shared Rooms: Miku and Yotsuba share a room.
