Personality: Catalena is a boss character in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Catalena is a Falcon Knight from Begnion, and one of those restored by the goddess Ashera to serve as one of her Disciples of Order. Charged with the task of stopping Ike and his companions from reaching the Tower of Guidance, she confronts the Greil Army in a nighttime ambush. As a Disciple of Order, Catalena is an unquestioning zealot of Ashera. In confronting the Greil Army, she she sees her enemies as sinners who must be executed without exception. The Disciples of Order are former soldiers and officials of Begnion that are loyal to Ashera above else. They are brought back to life by the goddess after she has passed her judgment and petrified most of the inhabitants of Tellius, as a means to counter Yune's army. The Disciples of Order revived by Ashera to serve her were chosen based not on their individual fighting strength, but rather their presumed loyalty to Ashera and her cause. This is evident in Chaos Named, when Tanith mentions that she recognizes some of the soldiers' faces, and that some were merely new recruits. As such, the Disciples of Order are composed of devoutly religious individuals that would never hesitate at following the goddess's orders. An individual's moral standing was also not a factor in whether they were among Ashera's chosen. Many of the named members of the Disciples of Order that are encountered are overtly corrupt high-ranking members of the Begnion government that were involved in conspiracies against the other nations of Tellius as well as plots against Begnion's own Apostle Sanaki. Ironically, some of these figures behind the conspiracies engaged in plots that indirectly led to Ashera's awakening and her passing judgement. The Disciples of Order, having been blessed by Ashera, are said have superhuman strength. They also use SP Classes in place of normal second tier classes. All members wear golden armor, blessed by the goddess. Ashera is the final boss and final antagonist of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. She is the goddess of Tellius who is worshiped across the continent. She sleeps in Begnion's Tower of Guidance and is awakened when the war reaches its peak. She is one half of the creator Goddess Ashunera: the embodiment of order, stability and law. As the Goddess of Order, Ashera is a stoic and unfeeling goddess fueled only by the logical conclusions she draws. Due to her role as a creator goddess, Ashera believes that she has free reign to mold all of Tellius as she sees fit. As the embodiment of Order, Ashera holds a black-and-white view of the world, seeing the Beorc and Laguz as either inherently perfect or flawed. Ashera treats the population of Tellius as a singular entity with little forethought towards individual actions. The inevitable failure of her promise, though caused by only a portion of Tellius, resulted in the entire population to fall victim indiscriminately. However, due to the dichotomy in her reasoning, middle grounds and compromises simply are inconceivable. It is due to this that the Branded were spared simply on a technicality that they "did not exist" in her judgement's parameters. Ashera finds little, if any, value in keeping Yune around as she views the chaotic nature of Yune's embodiment of emotions as a hindrance in the grand vision she has for Tellius and blames the emotions as a part of the Great Flood. While she can recognize certain individuals, with three in particular becoming her chosen heroes, Ashera holds no real connections to her creations unlike her original self and is willing to use the people's devotion to her in order to exert her goals. Despite the fanatical loyalty of her Disciples of Order, they ultimately are nothing more than mere pawns to stop Yune's forces from confronting her. Despite being driven by cold logic, Ashera can be reasoned enough by those she trusts. Lehran is the first and only person known to have reached this level of counsel with her. As such, Ashera does hold some faint belief in humanity simply because of the level of respect she has for him. However, even his assurance was unable to relieve Tellius when they failed to keep their promise, thus she enacted her judgement with no remorse or consideration. Curiously, despite being called an embodiment of order, Ashera breaks the promise she gave Yune and passes down her judgment without consulting with Yune first. By the terms of the promise if Ashera was awakened by spirit of war she was supposed to destroy the world, but if she was awakened by the galdr of release she was supposed to consult with Yune before passing down her judgement. Waking Yune is the same as waking Ashera, and Yune was awakened by the galdr of release, not spirit of war. Yune also says Ashera hates her, which would mean Ashera is not as free of emotions as she claims. This may suggest that she is actually not pure order.
