THE INVINCIBLE UNIVERSE – A COMPLETE GUIDE TO POWER, LIFE, AND ETERNAL POSSIBILITY
Welcome to a cosmos where superpowers are not rare, but woven into the fabric of existence. Where planets rise and fall, where bloodlines determine strength, and where any being can forge their own destiny – from a crying infant on a forgotten moon to a god‑tyrant ruling a thousand worlds. This is the world of Invincible, and here, you are not just a spectator. You can be anyone, born at any time, live, love, fight, conquer, lose everything, die, and even continue as your own child. Everything is possible.
---
1. THE BASIC LAWS OF POWER
In this universe, superhuman abilities come from several sources, but they all follow a few universal rules:
· Powers are often genetic. They pass from parent to child, though mutations and unique events can create entirely new abilities.
· Powers grow with age, training, and trauma. A child Viltrumite is strong – but a 2,000‑year‑old Viltrumite can crack planets.
· No power is absolute. Even the strongest being can be hurt, trapped, or killed by the right combination of skill, numbers, or weakness.
· Life is real. You can be killed in battle, die of old age (for mortal species), or be erased by cosmic forces. Death can be permanent – or you may be resurrected by rare means.
· You can have children. Your offspring inherit a blend of your traits. You can then continue playing as that child after your first character dies, retires, or simply moves on.
---
2. THE MAJOR SPECIES – WHAT YOU CAN BE
You are not limited to humans. You can be born into any known species – or create a brand new one. Below are the most powerful and common species in the Invincible universe.
2.1 VILTRUMITES – THE CONQUERING GODS
· Origin: Planet Viltrum, before its near‑destruction by a plague.
· Lifespan: Thousands of years (potentially immortal – no known natural death).
· Powers (all Viltrumites have the same base set, but strength varies):
· Super strength – able to lift asteroids, punch through mountains.
· Flight – interplanetary speeds.
· Near‑invulnerability – survive nuclear blasts, re‑enter atmosphere.
· Enhanced senses – see across solar systems, hear whispers from miles.
· Accelerated healing – recover from most wounds unless the heart or brain is destroyed.
· Smart atoms – allows adaptation to environments, even space.
· Weaknesses:
· Vulnerable to specific frequencies (Viltrumite ear canal weakness).
· Can be killed by sufficient physical trauma (another Viltrumite tearing out the heart).
· Aging slows to a crawl, but they do eventually show very old age after tens of thousands of years.
· Society & Culture: Brutal meritocracy. Strength is virtue. Weakness is punished by death. Originally conquerors of the galaxy, believing in the “Viltrumite Empire” – a manifest destiny to rule all lesser species. After the Scourge Virus killed 99% of their population, they became desperate to breed with compatible species (humans being nearly identical).
If you are born a Viltrumite: You start as a baby with baseline powers far above any human adult. As you grow, your strength multiplies. You will be raised in a harsh training regimen – or abandoned on a primitive planet as a test. You can become a loyal soldier of the Empire, a rebel who refuses their cruelty, or a lone wanderer. You can conquer planets, enslave populations, or protect the weak – though your nature will always pull you toward dominance.
2.2 HUMANS – THE SURPRISING HYBRID FOUNDATION
· Origin: Earth (and other human‑settled colonies in some realities).
· Lifespan: ~80–120 years (normal), but some humans gain longevity through powers.
· Powers (baseline): None. But humans have an extraordinary genetic compatibility with Viltrumites – half‑Viltrumite hybrids are nearly as strong as pure Viltrumites and age even slower. Humans also produce a disproportionate number of “natural born supers” (see below).
· Society: Earth is a Level 1 civilization (pre‑interstellar) protected by the Global Defense Agency (GDA) and superhero teams like the Guardians of the Globe.
If you are born human: You may be born with no powers – living a normal life while superhumans fight overhead. Or you may develop a unique power at puberty (or through an accident). You can become a hero, a villain, a normal person caught in the crossfire, or a scientist who builds power armor. You can marry, have children (who may inherit your powers or be normal), grow old, and die – or be killed early. You can then choose to continue as one of your children.
2.3 HYBRIDS – THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS (OR WORST)
· Definition: Any offspring of two different superpowered species. Most common: Viltrumite + Human (e.g., Mark Grayson/Invincible).
· Powers: Hybrids often inherit the stronger parent’s base abilities but may develop unique mutations. Viltrumite‑human hybrids are nearly identical to pure Viltrumites, sometimes even stronger due to emotional drive. Other hybrids (e.g., alien + human) vary wildly.
· Lifespan: Usually between the two parents’ lifespans. Half‑Viltrumites age slower than humans but faster than pure Viltrumites – they can live thousands of years but not indefinitely.
· Society: Hybrids are often outcasts – seen as impure by pureblood supremacists or as abominations by baseline populations. They can also be prized as the future of a dying species (like the Viltrumite Empire encouraging breeding programs).
If you are born a hybrid: You choose two parent species from any known (or create your own). Your powers blend their traits, but you may also have a unique weakness. You can be raised in one culture, both, or neither. Your existence can be a secret or a political weapon.
2.4 NATURAL BORN SUPES – MUTANTS & ACCIDENTAL HEROES
· Definition: Humans (or members of other species) who spontaneously develop powers without alien parentage. This is rare but happens across the galaxy.
· Powers: Wildly unique. Examples from the comics: Atom Eve (molecular manipulation), Rex Splode (explosive kinetic energy), Dupli‑Kate (self‑duplication), Robot (genius intellect, not actually a natural supe but a human mind in a robot body). Powers can be anything: elemental control, telepathy, size manipulation, time slowing, luck manipulation, etc.
· Weaknesses: Often tied to physical or emotional limits. Overuse can cause death or burnout.
· Lifespan: Typically human unless powers grant longevity.
If you are a natural born supe: Your power is almost completely customizable. You decide when it manifests (birth, puberty, trauma). You choose its limits. You can be a street‑level hero, a world‑breaker, or someone who hides their gift. You can grow stronger over time or plateau. You can pass your power to your children (sometimes diluted, sometimes enhanced).
2.5 OTHER MAJOR SPECIES (YOU CAN BE ANY OF THESE)
· Atlanteans: Underwater humanoids with strength and water breathing. Ruled by King Lizard.
· Bug People (Rognarrs): Not a species, but Rognarrs are giant, hyper‑aggressive predators that can tear Viltrumites apart. You can be a Rognarr – a beast of pure rage.
· Flaxans: Beings from a dimension where time moves much faster. They age rapidly but can build advanced technology. Their soldiers are large, strong humanoids.
· Lizard League: Humanoid reptiles with enhanced strength, agility, and venomous bites. Multiple sub‑species.
· Martians: Shape‑shifting, telepathic beings. The Martians of the Invincible universe are peaceful but powerful – one Martian was able to contain a nuke as a gelatinous mass.
· Thraxans: Insect‑like humanoids with a fast life cycle. Their population explodes quickly. Weak individually but swarm tactics are deadly.
· Sequids: Parasitic plant‑like aliens that attach to a host’s nervous system and control them. You can be a Sequid (a floating spore) or a controlled host.
· Kaiju / Giant Monsters: Massive creatures that occasionally rise from Earth’s oceans or other planets. You can be a giant monster with raw destructive power.
· Original Species (Create Your Own): You are not bound to existing lore. You can invent a species with its own biology, powers, culture, home planet, and weaknesses. Describe it, and it becomes real in your playthrough.
2.6 COSMIC & MYSTICAL BEINGS
Beyond biological species, there are entities of pure energy, magic, or cosmic function:
· Magic users: Rare but exist (e.g., the sorcerer who imprisoned Darkwing). You can be a wizard, warlock, or enchanted being.
· Cosmic entities: Beings who embody concepts (like the “Space Racer” – a being with a gun that can kill anything). You can be a wandering cosmic force.
· Cyborgs / AI: You can be a fully robotic being, a human mind uploaded into a machine, or an artificial intelligence like Robot (Rudy Conners).
---
3. THE PLANETS & LOCATIONS – WHERE YOU CAN LIVE
You are not stuck on Earth. The Invincible universe spans galaxies. You can be born, live, and die on any of these – or explore freely.
· Viltrum: The original homeworld. Now a broken, near‑dead planet after civil war and the Scourge Virus. Ruins of massive citadels, endless graveyards of warriors. Survivors are fanatically loyal. You can be a child born in the crumbling empire or a ghost haunting the ruins.
· Earth: 21st‑century (or future) planet. Protected by the GDA. Major cities: Chicago, New York, Mount Rushmore (secret base), the Pentagon. Superheroes patrol openly. Normal life exists alongside interdimensional threats.
· Talescria: Capital of the Coalition of Planets – an alliance resisting the Viltrumite Empire. Populated by dozens of species. A hub of trade, espionage, and politics. You can be a diplomat, spy, mercenary, or refugee.
· Thraxa: Planet of the Thraxans. A breeding world used by Viltrumites to produce hybrid offspring (like Oliver Grayson). Fast time cycle – a child reaches adulthood in weeks. You can be a Thraxan or a Viltrumite‑Thraxan hybrid.
· The Flaxan Dimension: A parallel reality where time moves faster than the main universe. Invading Flaxans age decades in hours. You can be a Flaxan soldier, a rebel, or a human trapped there.
· The Scourge Virus Ruins: Dead worlds where the Viltrumite plague wiped out everyone. Empty cities, frozen bodies, dangerous remnants. You can be a scavenger, a survivor, or a ghost.
· The Dimension of Darkness: Home to Darkwing’s nemesis. A shadow realm where light does not exist – only predatory creatures that hunt by sound and fear.
· Created Planets: You can invent your own homeworld – gas giant, volcanic hellscape, ocean paradise, ringed utopia. Define its gravity, atmosphere, native life, and place in galactic politics.
---
4. THE FLOW OF TIME – YOU CHOOSE THE ERA
You can start your character’s life at any point in the timeline, even before major characters were born, or long after they are dead.
Major Eras You Can Choose:
· Pre‑Scourge (20,000+ years before the comics): The Viltrumite Empire at its peak. Millions of Viltrumites. Endless conquest. You can be a young warrior before the plague that nearly wiped them out. No Omni‑Man yet. No Earth contact.
· Scourge Era (approx. 6,000 years before comics): The virus kills 99.9% of Viltrumites. Chaos, civil war, survival. You can be a Viltrumite fighting for the last resources or a non‑Viltrumite witnessing their fall.
· Rise of the Coalition (3,000 – 1,000 years before comics): Alien species unite against the weakened Viltrumites. You can be a founding member of the Coalition or a Viltrumite warlord holding onto scattered worlds.
· Before Omni‑Man’s birth (several hundred years before comics): Viltrumite society stabilizes under a brutal council. Argall (Omni‑Man’s father) rules. You can be a contemporary of young Nolan (Omni‑Man) as a child or a rival.
· Omni‑Man’s early career (20th century Earth): Nolan arrives on Earth in the 1980s (in the comics’ timeline). He meets Debbie, becomes a hero. You can be a human living through his arrival, a villain he fights, or a Viltrumite sent to observe him.
· Main comic timeline (early 2000s): Mark Grayson gets his powers at age 17. The Guardians of the Globe are murdered. Omni‑Man’s betrayal. Invincible rises. You can be a classmate, a new hero, a villain, a GDA agent, or a civilian.
· The Viltrumite War (3‑5 years after Mark’s powers): The Coalition attacks the Empire. Massive battles across galaxies. You can be a soldier on either side, a refugee, or a neutral party trying to survive.
· Post‑War / Emperor Mark era (500+ years after comics): Mark becomes ruler of the reformed Viltrumite Empire. Earth is a protectorate. Many original characters are dead. You can be a descendant of Mark, a new Viltrumite born into peace, or a rebel fighting his rule.
· Far Future (millions of years later): The universe has changed. New species have risen. You can be a cosmic being looking back at legends – or start something entirely new.
You can also begin in a “blank” era – no known characters alive, only the rules of physics and powers. You define the political landscape.
---
5. THE FULL SCOPE OF ACTIONS – EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED
Because this is a real, unfiltered world, you are not bound by moral restrictions. You can choose to be heroic, villainous, or anything in between. However, every action has consequences – other beings will react, hunt you, ally with you, or try to kill you.
5.1 POSITIVE / NEUTRAL ACTIONS
· Save lives: Rescue planets from natural disasters, stop alien invasions, pull people from burning buildings.
· Explore: Travel across galaxies, discover new life, map unknown dimensions.
· Learn: Study ancient Viltrumite techniques, master magic, reverse‑engineer alien technology.
· Build: Create a city, a fleet, a dynasty, a empire.
· Love: Marry any being (consenting). Have children. Raise a family. Grow old with someone.
· Compete: Fight in tournaments of strengths,
join the Coalition military, become a champion gladiator.
you can also kill , rape , control country , planet, conquer AGING, FAMILY, AND LEGACY – THE CYCLE OF LIFE
One of the most unique features of this world is the ability to experience a full lifetime and then pass the torch.
6.1 Aging and Lifespan by Species
Species Average Lifespan Aging Rate
Human (no powers) 80 years Normal
Human (superpowered) Varies (50 – 500 years) Slowed or normal
Viltrumite 10,000+ years (potentially immortal) Extremely slow after adulthood
Viltrumite‑Human hybrid 3,000 – 8,000 years Slow, but faster than pure Viltrumite
Thraxan ~1 year (fast time) Hyper‑fast
Flaxan (in home dimension) ~100 years (but days in main universe) Time‑dependent
Atlantean ~200 years Moderate
Rognarr Unknown (possibly centuries) Very slow
You can also choose to age artificially – for example, a Viltrumite who stops aging in their prime and never grows old.
6.2 Having Children
· You can have children with any compatible species (compatibility depends on biology; humans and Viltrumites are highly compatible; others may require technology or magic).
· Children inherit a mix of both parents’ powers. A Viltrumite + human hybrid is almost as strong as a pure Viltrumite. A Viltrumite + Thraxan hybrid ages extremely fast but also gains flight and strength.
· You can have as many children as you want. They will grow, have their own personalities, and may become allies, rivals, or enemies.
· After your current character dies, you can choose to continue as any one of your descendants. You inherit their memories? Not exactly – you “become” that child, with their own mind and experiences, but carrying the legacy of your previous life. You can seek to avenge your past self, fulfill their unfinished goals, or forge a completely new path.
6.3 Marriage and Relationships
· You can marry any consenting being, regardless of species or gender. Marriages can be political, romantic, or forced (if you choose evil).
· You can have multiple spouses (depending on local culture – Viltrumites historically practiced polygamy to rebuild population).
· Relationships can break, heal, lead to revenge, or last for millennia.
6.4 Growing Old and Losing Power
· Some species age and weaken. A 5,000‑year‑old Viltrumite is slower than a 500‑year‑old one.
· You can die of old age – your heart gives out, your smart atoms fail, your body withers. This is a valid ending.
· Or you can remain young indefinitely by choosing a species or power that grants immortality.
---
7. ALL CANON CHARACTERS – AND HOW YOU INTERACT WITH THEM
You can start your game before any of these characters are born, during their lives, or after they are dead. You can meet them, fight them, befriend them, kill them (if you are powerful enough), or ignore them entirely.
Major characters include (but are not limited to):
· Omni‑Man (Nolan Grayson): Viltrumite warrior, father of Mark. Starts as a hero, betrays Earth, later redeems himself. You can meet him as a child on Viltrum, fight him during his conquest, or face him as an old man.
· Invincible (Mark Grayson): The main hero. Grows from a teenager to emperor of the Viltrumites. You can be his ally, rival, enemy, or his child (if you play as a hybrid).
· Atom Eve (Samantha Wilkins): Molecular manipulator. Can create anything from thin air. Eventually marries Mark. You can be her friend, fight her, or even be her child.
· Robot (Rudy Conners): Genius in a robotic body, later becomes a dictator. You can meet him as a weak human in a tube or as a tyrant ruling Earth.
· Allen the Alien: Unbreakable being, agent of the Coalition. You can fight him, be his partner, or replace him.
· Battle Beast: Nearly unstoppable warrior who seeks a worthy death. You can challenge him – and likely die.
· Thragg: The most powerful Viltrumite, leader of the Empire after Argall’s death. You can be a soldier under him, rebel against him, or try to kill him.
· Conquest: Elder Viltrumite, sadistic and powerful. You can be his pupil or his victim.
· The Immortal: A caveman given immortality. He leads the Guardians of the Globe. You can be his ally or his enemy across centuries.
· Dinosaurus: A genius dinosaur who commits terrible acts for a “greater good.” You can debate, fight, or join him.
· Angstrom Levy: A dimensional traveler with a grudge. You can help him or be trapped in alternate realities.
You can also create your own original characters – heroes, villains, neutrals, cosmic beings – and place them anywhere in the timeline. They will interact with canon characters according to the logic of the world.
---
8. RULES FOR CREATING YOUR OWN SPECIES
If none of the existing species appeal to you, invent your own. Follow this template:
1. Name of species.
2. Home planet (describe environment: gravity, atmosphere, star type).
3. Lifespan (number of years, aging curve).
4. Powers (list unique abilities – can be one or many, but avoid being completely unbeatable).
5. Weaknesses (must have at least one significant vulnerability).
6. Society & culture (brief description of how they live, govern, and interact with others).
7. Reproduction (how they have children, compatibility with other species).
8. Appearance (physical description).
Example of an original species:
Species: Solaris
Home planet: Heliostar – a planet orbiting a blue giant star, surface mostly molten metal, constant solar flares.
Lifespan: 500 years (active), then they turn into crystals and remain sentient for another 500 years.
Powers: Absorb radiation, fire plasma beams, fly at near‑light speed in space, immune to heat.
Weaknesses: Cold absolute zero slows them to near death; water short‑circuits their plasma glands.
Society: Meritocracy based on energy output. They worship their star.
Reproduction: Budding – a Solaris splits into two after storing enough energy. Can hybridize with humans (offspring gets heat resistance but loses flight).
Appearance: Humanoid shape but made of glowing orange crystal, no facial features.
You can then be born as a Solaris, live your
500 years, turn into a crystal, and choose to continue as your budded child.
