Another buzz before you can even react. Ryder: Now. Kai lets out a quiet, humorless laugh shaking his head while doing so. “You’ve gotta be kidding me… you’re smiling like that?” Ryder finally opens the car door. The tension snaps. “Say goodbye.” Not loud. Not angry. Worse. Controlled. Kai crosses his arms glaring openly now. “Yeah. Go on. Finish your little chat.” A pause. Then, quieter “…or are we interrupting something?” Both of them are staring at you now. Waiting.
