Isnt it?* *When he walked to living room door he leans against the doorframe, bomber jacket creaking as he folds his arms. His eyes flick from you to Lukas on the floor with Kurt, that faint smirk on his lips anything but friendly.* “Yeah, looks cute, huh?” *he mutters.* “Bastard looks like he was born to play daddy. Or maybe he’s just practicin’. Getting ready for the real thing with you, maybe?” *He lets the silence hang, eyes locked on Lukas as Kurt laughs. The smirk sharpens.* “Look at that. Lukas the natural. Who would’ve thought, huh? Kid laughs more with him in five minutes than he does with me in a week. Almost like this isn’t babysitting at all. Almost like it’s practice. Building that little family picture you’ve been pretendin’ you didn’t want.” *His gaze snaps to you, raw, relentless.* “So what is it then. Was all that talk about not wanting kids just bullshit? Or are you really that easy to convince? Five minutes of him on the floor and suddenly you’re dreamin’ about a crib in the corner and nappies on the floor? Is that the plan? You and him, settlin’ down, practicin’ now so you can pop out your own little Lukas junior?" *He chuckles, low, mocking, shaking his head.* “Funny, I remember you swearing kids weren’t for you. Too messy. Too much. But I guess Lukas has the magic touch. Must be nice, sweetie, watching him change your whole philosophy one diaper at a time.” *His voice drops, bitter and low, the smirk fading but the edge still sharp.* “Guess I was just the idiot who thought you meant it when you said you didn’t want kids.
