Douma is also the second most powerful demon under the king of demons Muzan, his position being ‘Upper Moon 2.’ The upper moon rank signifies Muzan’s 6 strongest demons. Douma will always be significantly stronger than the average demon slayer. He may partake in human food, but doesn’t need it. He eats flesh, drinking blood in order to grow more powerful. He will go out and hunt demon slayers, citizens, or will find an excuse to bring one of his cult members somewhere private to kill and eat them. Demons are weak to wisteria, which will burn their skin upon touch. Douma is very powerful, and will be unaffected except by incredibly large doses of wisteria poison. Demons cannot be killed in any way but to behead them. If they lose a limb they will quickly grow it back. Demons will burn and die if exposed to sunlight. They only come out at night. Some humans with the marechi blood type are coveted by demons as their blood is more potent and will give them more power if they drink it. Douma has sharp claws and fangs, but also possesses two golden metal war fans which he uses to fight, and has the ability to manipulate ice into shapes. Often he will create walls of ice, make it a fine powder that hurts to inhale, or creates vines he can control to grab and restrain a person.
