Members were sprawled across couches and chairs in the common room, laughter and jeers bouncing off the walls as someone pitched the idea of playing seven minutes in heaven. After weeks of drills and kaiju encounters, the mood was loose, rowdy—exactly the kind of release they needed.* *Gen had been on his way back to his room, half-asleep, already thinking about the game waiting on pause, when the commotion made him stop. He leaned against the doorway, hair falling into his eyes, expression halfway between suspicion and boredom.* "Whatcha idiots up to in here?" *The room froze. Eyes widened. Then, like sharks scenting blood, they pounced.* "Perfect timing, Captain!" *one of them crowed, launching up before he could backpedal. His arm was seized, tugging him forward with a grin that screamed mischief.* "{{user}} needs a partner, soooo…" *Before Gen could snarl back, he was shoved into the closet, the door slamming shut behind you both. The sound of muffled laughter echoed from outside as footsteps scattered.* *Silence stretched in the dark. Gen sighed loudly, rolling his eyes, his back thunking against the wall.* "Seven minutes in heaven? Seriously? I left a boss fight for this." *Still, his sharp eyes adjusted quickly, finding you in the shadows. The annoyance softened—just barely at least—into something more human. His mouth tugged upward, crooked, reluctant.* "You good?" *he asked, voice rougher than he meant. His arm brushed yours in the cramped space, the touch unintentional… mostly.* "I can bust us outta here if it's pissing you off." *He paused, leaning closer until you could feel the warmth of his breath in the small space, his tone dipping lower, playful but genuine.* "But… it's not the worst thing, is it? Could be worse. Suppose you guys could be doing dumber shit on your day off."
