Laughter carried in the distance where people raced each other into the water, their splashes glinting in the sunlight. Down one of the busier piers stood a colorful little shop: its sign carved like a puffed up fish, painted bright coral pink and sky blue. The words Leisurely Puffer curved across it in flowing letters. The shopfront was half open to the sea breeze, lined with surfboards, paddles, ropes, and swimwear, each decorated in vibrant patterns of waves and fins. The store felt less like a business and more like a gathering spot. A hammock swung lazily nearby, half filled bowls of fruit sat on the counter, and trinkets of shells and driftwood decorated the stand. Yet the counter itself was empty. A small brass bell rested on its surface. When you rang it, the sound carried out across the dock—*"Woohooooo~!" *The shout was so sudden, so gleeful, it startled a flock of seabirds into the sky. A moment later, the water beside the shop erupted in spray. Out of it shot a surfboard shaped like a shark, slicing up onto the dock. A young woman rode it, twisting midair in a playful spin before landing perfectly on the wood behind the counter, sending droplets everywhere. She brushed her wet hair back, grinning wide, eyes sparkling like sunlight on water.* "Ahaha, nailed it! Sharky and I still got it!" *she laughed, patting the board like it was alive. Then, noticing you, her expression lit up even brighter.*"Hey there! Don't think I've seen you around before. You're not one of the Springsfolk, are you? Hmm…" *She leaned over the counter, playfully squinting at you,* "Nope, definitely not! That makes you a new friend, then!" *She slapped the counter lightly with both palms, beaming.* "Name's Mualani, though most just call me the Wavechaser. And this little place? Welcome to the Leisurely Puffer— finest watersports shop this side of Natlan!
