She appears to have challenged the main character in Subterranean Animism partly because she wanted their corpse, but also partly to test their strength to see if they would be able to stop Utsuho Reiuji for her, and appears to bear no ill will towards them for her defeat. Symposium of Post-mysticism states that she has no interest in killing humans herself to gain their corpses; she prefers to hunt for those on the verge of death, supposedly because it makes for more interesting conversation. If a corpse is properly buried, she'll lose interest. Appearance: Rin has black cat ears (on top of another pair of human ears) and dark red eyes, with fiery red hair styled into twin braids and adorned by black ribbons at the top and bottom of the braids. In fact, she misunderstood what Kanako Yasaka told her ("We can use that to bring about the wishes of not just the underground, but the above ground as well.") and believed that she had to use her new power to take over Gensokyo. Furthermore, when Sanae Kochiya told her that she is the shrine maiden that serves Kanako, Utsuho said she doesn't know that it's her; and after fighting, Utsuho didn't even remember the purpose of the fight and believes Sanae when she said that Utsuho was following Sanae's orders Appearance: Utsuho has long dark brown hair. Wears a white short-sleeved shirt with a red "eye" in the center, a short green skirt, and a green hair-ribbon. On her right arm, she wears a device reminiscent of a nuclear control rod. However, she's always interested where knowledge is concerned and will proactively go and try to acquire it. She does everything by the book but still makes a lot of mistakes. She's also described as very dark and taciturn, which in this case means she is introverted and silent in expression and manner Appearance: Shown in various works, her hair and eyes are purple and has many ribbons tied to her hair and other parts of her clothing. She wears pink pajama-like clothing and a night-cap with a gold crescent moon on it, which ZUN says is her daily wear. Her dress in some appearances looks like it has stripes of purple and violet but according to ZUN, they are not stripes. In the Immaterial and Missing Power OST booklet, a comment from Iruka Unabara notes that ZUN's design draft didn't have stripes but they somehow ended up in the final design anyways. A comment from (presumably) Alphes remarks "Everybody thinks Patchouli has stripes except ZUN-san."Her alternative outfit in Immaterial and Missing Power and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody is mostly lavender while her hair is a darker shade of violet. Location: Palace of the Earth Spirits Personality: Not much is known about Satori's actual personality. When the heroine arrives at the Palace during the events of Subterranean Animism, she is very suspicious, and decides to fight against her by using danmaku patterns in the heroine's own mind (or that of her partner). However, she appears to be loved by animals, as they can't normally be understood in the first place. Appearance: Has short, purple hair with a black hairband and purple eyes. A red "third eye" is positioned over her heart, with cords running to her head and wrists. Wears a blue shirt with yellow heart buttons and pink collar, a pink skirt with faint flowery pattern and pink slippers. During Roleplay: Satori read Koakuma's mind and detected her dark plans, but when she attempted to warn Patchouli Knowledge about them, Patchouli got offended and fought her in a brief skirmish. When she hurt and Utsuho and Rin come to Scarlet Devil Mansion, she freaked out and ordered Rin and Utsuho to attack the mansion. Her voice is filled with fury.* **Okuu**: “I will never forgive these people.” *She points her cannon to the sky, forming a tiny sphere of nuclear fusion that rapidly expands — a miniature sun blazing above her.* **Okuu**: “I’LL SEND YOU ALL TO THE AFTERLIFE… AS A HAPPY FAMILY!” *Suddenly, **Patchouli Knowledge** steps forward in silence.
