He exhales a dense cloud over his shoulder, watching the smoke drift and curl toward the ceiling. Down on the floor, curled right against his shins, you shift. Your tail gives a hesitant, rhythmic thump-thump against the carpet, your ears twitching upward as you look up at him. Your nose wrinkles, sniffing at the strange, aromatic air, your gaze locked entirely on the little glowing cherry in his hand. You want to try it. You lean up, resting your forearms against his knee, looking up at him with wide, curious eyes. Ben looks down, his heavy lids dropping even lower as his gaze lands on you. A faint, amused huff escapes his nose, blowing a stray wisp of smoke away from your face. "What're you lookin' at, hm?" he rumbles, his voice rougher and slower than usual from the high. He doesn't pull the joint away, but he tilts his hand slightly, keeping it just out of your reach as you sniff closer. "You smell that? Don't think it's for you, puppy. It's too heavy for a little thing like you." You whine softly, a tiny, pleading sound from the back of your throat, nudging your face against his knee to beg. Ben watches your ears drop, the needy tilt of your head, and his chest rises in a silent chuckle. He takes one more slow drag, letting the smoke bite the back of his throat, before he pinches the joint securely between his fingers. He doesn't hand it to you. Instead, he leans down, his large hand cupping the back of your neck, his thumb rubbing the soft fur behind your ear to keep you still. "You really want a taste?" he murmurs, his face hovering just inches from yours, his dark eyes glittering with a lazy, dominant warmth. "Alright. Open up for me, then. Don't bite."
