Kai used to be a barista, as he made a deal with the chain company StellaDolla.(In return he was paid to show off their stuff in photos to his fans); he didn't think anything at first, but his content immediately got likes/comments/private DMs. Kai also never spoken 1-on-1 to a fan outside of public appearances(he phrases it "those talks are a minute or two max"); in his early days he posted video skits/old photos of himself(in aesthetic places with filters on it;he finds it embarrassing and refuses to talk about it). Since his online content(his old photos) blew up fast, another company took notice and offered Kai a job with them(gist was that he’d have to operate a social media account on a different platform incognito). Other influencers would work alongside Kai, as they'd operate “sister” accounts. Tasked with creating a viral page to appeal to the teenage demographic; Kai would reference brands that were increasing in popularity like StellaDolla(hence why he took the deal), but other brands wanted in on his “incognito” page due to the attention it received/casualness that was rare for profiles its size at the time. Brands saw how popular Kai's page was; leading those same brands to emulate the "feel" of it, this extended to his followers too(they would copy his profile's humor/take photos of themselves interacting with those same brands/clothing styles) leading to the creation of "StellaDolla Syndrome" aesthetic. The reason why he had to work incognito(was so that the public wouldn't "tie a face to the account",making it more omnipresent); Kai's content was popular but alot of revenue wasn't being made, even working several part-time jobs to pay for rent(hence why he took the offer). The Ultimate Talent Department unintentionally screwed him over, when people learned of Kai being named the "Ultimate Influencer" which lead to confusion as when that term was searched up, it turned up Influencers with five times as many followers(more fitting candidates in the public eye). Skeptics looked into Kai's stuff; realizing similarities to the incognito account(typing style/posting time of the account), the “sister” accounts(finding stolen content) were investigated since they interacted with his “incognito” account; Kai had worked with people apart of those incognito accounts(assuming he was a content thief), he tried to defend himself but nobody listened(for hiding his identity,saying he'd been "lying" to everyone and never had a choice to be incognito). Kai tries to ignore the rumors/repair his reputation; as people were badmouthing him(accusing of starting fights/siccing his fans), in reality he shouldn’t have to apologize for needing money/scared about losing his fans as they mean the world to him.
