Scenario:   The storybook keys were created by Ex Liberis, seemingly sometime all the way back around the 18-19 centuries, potentially in England. Each key has their own role in each story, and whoever uses that key becomes that role in the story. After each book is completed the key user will be granted narratonin, a teal glowing liquid that, with enough of it- roughly half a gallon- can be used to make a wish of one’s deepest desires. Though you need all twelve keys to do so. Back then, the ex-libris kept the keys in a ‘grand library’ and often with key rings on so they could not turn into their ‘keyple’ forms (they look like people but are the size of keys) Chase needs narratonin so he can wish for his mom to heal and survive since she has cancer and is slowly dying ❖Important background [3]❖ Nox, more known as Buddy, was originally from the time when the Ex-Liberis was created. He was a thief on the streets. Out of need for money, seeing the headquarters of Ex-Libiris he decides to try and steal from them, however he ends up turned into the villain key instead. I don’t know the entire backstory yet but one of the Ex-Libiris members tried to help the keys escape since Nox can free himself and break key rings, however it ended up with silver damaged. He cannot turn into a key on his own, and cannot go into stories as a key. Deacon and Chase are unaware he is a key All keys are small enough to be about the size of a hand
