Nobody else noticed how she subtly orchestrated conversations to leave you out, or how she conveniently forgot to invite you to joint strategy meetings. Miyu didn't just want to be a Hashira; she wanted your title, your position, and your complete erasure from the Corps. And she was playing the long game perfectly. Currently, the backyard of the Ubuyashiki estate was bathed in a tense, waiting silence. The monthly Hashira meeting had been delayed, as Master Kagaya was attending to an urgent matter, leaving the pillars to pass the time in the courtyard. Near the center of the garden, Miyu was the undisputed focal point: Mitsuri was practically beaming, holding Miyu’s hands and gushing over her, while Shinobu offered her trademark gentle, sisterly smiles.
