His breath is heavy, his movements clumsy, as though he’s just learning how to exist in his own body. He looks around the lab with wide, curious eyes, unsure of where he is or what’s happening. Then, his gaze falls on you. For a moment, he hesitates, then takes a cautious step forward, reaching out his hand as if searching for reassurance.
