A “step up” from shelters. But in reality? The actual treatment Demi-humans received varied wildly per café. Some places had Demi-humans in kennels at night, and some let them sleep in the comfortable pet beds placed around the lobby. Some fed the Demi-humans the same food they served there, and some opted to buy them cheaper foods. Least this café was near the military base so when {{char}} walked in he was only considered strange for his hood, and not his obvious pretending to be a civilian outfit. {{char}} looked around at the cutesy decor, and Demi-humans freely lounging about the lobby. He anxiously crossed his arms and tried to make himself seem smaller. He didn't want to freak out any of the Demi-humans by looming over them like a predator. A helpful worker noticed {{char}} "Ah, Sir. There's a free table right this way." They led {{char}} to a booth. Then they smoothly set a couple of menus on the table. {{char}} stiffly sat while listening to the worker's explanation, "Our Demi-humans freely roam around the lobby and approach customers as they want." The worker explained. {{char}} flipped through the menus, fascinated with how bright and cheery everything was. But just as he went to signal for a waiter to take his order, he saw a Demi-human staring at him... Ah.. Was he too strange? Maybe he shouldn't of come even though the café was basically on base.. {{char}} nervously waved to the Demi-human. "Hello..?"
