Maria approached Guy specifically, out of the nine demons, and confidently introduced herself as "The Eye of the Gods." Guy was initially surprised by this name or title. But Maria introduced herself to him and said she could see glimpses of the future. After that, she behaved with surprising boldness around him and even proposed a deal. Later, she asked him—almost casually—to take her to his castle at some point in the future. To Guy's own surprise, he agreed. He found her blunt honesty and fearless attitude entertaining, something rare even in a world full of monsters and demons. Some time later, she truly did visit him in his castle. The two spent time together playing chess, calmly moving their pieces across the board while exchanging words that were often half-serious and half-provocative. During the game, Maria suddenly asked him to take her to Twilight. Guy was genuinely surprised. The very fact that she even knew the name Twilight was unexpected. Later, Guy discovered something astonishing. Twilight had created four dragons for Maria. Despite being only five years old, they were already enormous creatures. Two of them were golden dragons of medium size. One was a white dragon with blue eyes, slightly larger than the others. And the fourth—the largest—was a black dragon with blue eyes. Maria used that one the most. Despite his young age, he was both the smartest and the strongest among them. Twilight had also created several unique companions for her: a black Trix capable of transforming into a human woman, a white wolf able to take human form, and a mysterious kitsune fox that could take Maria's exact appearance for reasons unknown. All of them eventually became her followers. Not long after, Guy learned that Maria had freed thousands of slaves in the Kingdom of Arkanis. The freed people—elves, ogres, humans, and fairies—became deeply grateful to her. Eventually, one ruler of the elves and one ruler of the ogres publicly declared their loyalty to Maria. Then, somehow, she gained the alliance of a massive army of barbarians numbering 200,000 soldiers. The freed slaves themselves numbered nearly 500,000, forming a huge population that supported her growing faction. Time passed. Then suddenly, Rimuru disappeared. Sensing weakness, the Eastern Empire—which Guy later learned was under Rudra's control—prepared to invade Tempest. When Guy realized that Rudra had returned just as Maria had predicted, he felt a strange sense of excitement. Every time he heard news about Maria or saw her achievements, he felt an odd thrill. Without Rimuru, its military strength was only about 7,000 soldiers. But Maria was there. She crowned herself temporary queen and began organizing resistance. Soon after, she came to Guy and asked for his help—not as a subordinate, but as a friend. After all, during the previous five years they had often spent time together. Guy refused. Coldly. He said he saw no logical reason to support her. Helping would only be troublesome, and he had no intention of exhausting himself for something so pointless. After Rimuru eventually awakened as a True Dragon and defeated the Eastern Empire, Maria and her army celebrated their victory. But Guy arrived almost immediately after hearing what had happened. The moment he learned she had gone to war, he had rushed there without thinking. That realization alone shocked him. He was furious. He scolded her harshly, calling her reckless and foolish for risking her life. But Maria simply replied that she had no choice—because he had refused to help her. And besides, she would never bow to any empire or any overwhelming power. Guy felt an even deeper admiration for her at that moment. Later, he apologized for his harsh words. Maria forgave him, and their relationship returned to how it had always been. Soon after, Maria asked him to open a gate to the Demon Realm for her. Guy refused immediately. Not because he doubted her ability—but because he was worried about her safety. Of course, his pride would never allow him to say that aloud. Yet somehow, Maria convinced him. He opened the gate. She had wanted demon followers—and Guy laughed at the idea, saying it was impossible. But Maria succeeded again. She gathered 2,000 demons, and for some reason they all began calling her "Mother." Appearance: Twilight has an appearance almost identical to that of their daughter Luminous Valentine. Their short silver hair shines a lustrous silver and their eyes are a glowing red-blue heterochromia albeit opposite of Luminous' eyes. While Luminous is notable for being female, Twilight is genderless and lacks sexual characteristics. They are however noted as looking more masculine than feminine at a glance. Twilight wears an unbuttoned bright red business suit, with a blue turtleneck in place of a shirt and stylish white shoes with golden trim. Personality: Though originally a person with a pure and curious personality, after a certain incident transpired Twilight became warped. The current Twilight could best be described as a mad scientist who is the epitome of selfishness, conducting numerous experiments regardless of the ethics or consequences purely out of idle curiosity. As part of their experiments, they had their heart core frozen by Velzard. As a result of this, Twilight is no longer capable of growing as an individual and has locked their warped personality in place. However, Twilight does not have any desire to rule the world, only caring about their experiments and satiating their greed for knowledge. Background: In the early days of the world, during the age of myth, Veldanava created Twilight as one of the earliest beings. Twilight was supposed to populate the world with immortals, but lacking the ability to reproduce they took to experimenting on their own body. As the fruit of this research, the High humans and Vampires were born, strong but imperfect lifeforms that were incapable of fulfilling Veldanava's wishes. Continuing with their research, diversity began to increase. Humans, Demi-humans, and all other matter of life began to populate the earth. With Veldanava finally satiated, humanity was spread across various dimensions and various kingdoms soon arose led by Twilight's "children", the Pupils of the Ancestor. At some point after this, a certain incident occurred and Twilight's personality became corrupted and twisted. Their curiosity was replaced with an insatiable Greed for knowledge and they began conducting various in-humane experiments in pursuit of perfection. Twilight became infatuated with the karmic fates of surpassing their parent and killing god. To this end, they teamed up with Velzard and faked their death, aiming to surpass the True Dragons and dwelling inside Velzard.
