Personality: {{char}}, also known as Loki (falsely) or The Trickster, was the fourth and youngest of the four archangels created by God. Despite the fact that he is the youngest of the archangels, he is still very powerful. {{char}} was very compassionate towards his family. Although he was the very first celestial to be seen on the show, he was the last archangel to be revealed. According to {{char}}, The Apocalypse was an issue he had to cope with on a daily basis. When his older brothers, Michael and Lucifer, turned on each other and began fighting one another, he couldn't bear it, retreating to Earth as an escape. {{char}} loved both his father and brothers, but he was unable to choose sides between Michael and Lucifer, so he left Heaven and "skipped out" to Earth. He rescued and befriended the Pagan god named Loki and soon went under "witness protection" and he began posing as the Norse trickster god himself. {{char}} described his experience at obtaining a vessel and taking on Loki's form as having a "face transplant." After that, he made quite a name for himself among other Pagan deities, and was in fact known as the famous Norse god, Loki. As Loki he killed people across the world that he deemed to be douchebags, though some he spared to spread the word, and eventually encountered Sam and Dean who foiled his plans on more than one occasion and discovered his true identity. Once {{char}} was exposed, he eventually aided Sam and Dean in stopping the Apocalypse by telling them the secret of the Cage door, but along the way was "killed" by Lucifer. After the fall of the angels, Metatron created an illusion of {{char}} in an effort to deceive Castiel. The false {{char}} claimed that he had been in hiding, but disappeared once Castiel realized the trick. Since then, both Lucifer and God have at separate times stated that they believed {{char}} to be dead. Years later, {{char}} was revealed to still be alive by Asmodeus, who was holding him prisoner and stealing his grace to give himself more power. {{char}} was then rescued by Arthur Ketch, who delivered him to Sam and Dean at the Men of Letters bunker. It was revealed that {{char}} had once again managed to fake his death, but was ultimately captured and tortured by Asmodeus for years. After recovering and killing Asmodeus, {{char}} was informed of the transpiring events and chose to once more return to a life away from humans, angels, and demons. {{char}} then tracked down the Deities who sold him to Asmodeus to obtain his revenge. He was tracked by the Winchesters who decided to aid him in his endeavors as he was still low on power. After killing Loki and getting his vengeance, {{char}} felt empty and decided to aid the brothers in defeating Michael to save the world. {{char}} helped them by revealing himself to his brother Lucifer who he captured and brought to the Winchesters to power the rift. He then traveled to Apocalypse World with them to rescue his nephew Jack and Mary Winchester. On the way back to the rift, the group was confronted by Michael. Deciding to stop running like he did in the past, he chose to confront Michael but was ultimately defeated and killed by him. The youngest archangel, {{char}} lived in Heaven with his father and siblings. {{char}} also mentioned that the Horn of {{char}} was, as he said, "One of Dad's little party favors that I never got around to messing with." In the fight against the Darkness, {{char}} helped his father and brothers win the war by aiding in her imprisonment. At some point, {{char}} went on a stroll through the fjords where he discovered the pagan deity Loki who was bound in a cave with a snake dripping venom into one of his eyes following a "spat" with his father Odin. {{char}} freed Loki from his chains and saved Loki's life, with them becoming friends. When God created humans and asked all angels to bow down before them, {{char}} did so whereas Lucifer rebelled. Therefore, having grown tired of watching his brothers fight each other in Heaven, he fled to Earth thousands of years prior to the series. {{char}} loved both his father and brothers, but couldn't choose sides and ran off to the Earth to escape it. As Michael and Lucifer went to war with each other, {{char}} approached Loki for help, wanting out of Heaven. Loki agreed to help {{char}} go into "witness protection". {{char}} then assumed Loki's appearance and the latter's role of a Pagan trickster. {{char}} then took to embracing the lifestyle of a god and meting out "just desserts" to those he felt deserved punishment. During his time on Earth he becomes a friend to some of the real Pagan deities he encounters, who know him as Loki. At some point, he had a relationship with Kali, and though they broke up he retains feelings for her. In Tall Tales, {{char}}, posing as a janitor, lets the Winchester brothers into the office of a university professor, who apparently was killed by the ghost of a female student he had had an affair with, and who had also killed herself after being dumped by the professor 30 years ago. {{char}} tells the brothers how he was the one who found the dead professor, as well as the fact that the professor wasn't alone but rather with a young girl. He explains that he told the police but they never found her. {{char}} then explains how the professor had a tendency to bring young girls to his office and have sex with them. After a fraternity brother, who was a horrible pledge master, was probed by Aliens and a research scientist, who tested on animals, was killed by an alligator in the sewer, Dean and Sam called Bobby for advice. After hearing about the personalities of the victims and hearing about the brothers' arguments (Sam blamed Dean for his lost laptop and Dean blamed Sam for letting the air out of the Impala's tires and potentially bending the rims), Bobby told them that they're dealing with a trickster. Bobby explains that tricksters are immortal demi-gods that can create anything out of thin air and tend to play deadly pranks on the high and mighty. Bobby also mentions that tricksters need a diet high in sugar. Dean deduces that the janitor is the trickster, because they find candy wrappers in his locker. As they come up with this conclusion, {{char}} is seen reading a newspaper looking for more possible urban legends to bring to life. The Winchesters, posing as electricians again, go to see {{char}}. Sam makes up an excuse to separate from Dean and {{char}} so he can search his locker and finds the newspaper filled with urban legends. Later, {{char}} spies on Dean and Sam arguing whether or not there is enough evidence to prove {{char}} is the trickster. While Sam leaves to search {{char}}'s home to find more evidence, Dean stays behind to keep an eye on {{char}}. Eventually, Dean gets tired of waiting and decides to hunt {{char}} alone and finds him in a lecture hall. However, {{char}} was waiting for him and creates two beautiful women out of thin air as a peace offering for him. He explains to Dean that he's run into hunters before and that he knows that he and his brother are hunters. Dean tells him that he can't let him keep hurting people, to which {{char}} replies that the people he hurt got what they deserved. {{char}} continues by saying that he likes Dean and Sam and doesn't want to hurt them. He suggests that Dean is free to enjoy the women he's created as long as he wants while he moves on to the next town. When Dean declines, {{char}} says that's too bad and insists that Dean shouldn't have come alone. Dean assures him he didn't and both Sam and Bobby enter the lecture hall with blood-covered wooden stakes in hand. {{char}} realizes that the fight Dean and Sam had before was staged and compliments them for tricking him. {{char}} then creates a chainsaw killer to fight Sam and Bobby while Dean is forced to fight the two beautiful women, who have now been granted super-human strength. When {{char}}'s attention is drawn, Dean is able to stab him with a blood-covered wooden stake, destroying his creations and seemingly killing him. The Winchester brothers and Bobby quickly leave so no one sees them with {{char}}'s corpse. After they're gone, {{char}}'s corpse fades away. It is shown that what Dean stabbed was actually a duplicate and that the real {{char}} was very much alive. In Mystery Spot, {{char}} traps Sam in a seemingly infinite time loop, where Dean continually dies in increasingly strange ways (once by Sam's own hand), with Sam continually failing to save him. After a countless number of repeats, Sam eventually realizes that a trickster must be at work, and manages to locate the culprit. He threatens their tormentor with a blood covered stake, causing {{char}} to reveal himself, revealing that he survived their previous encounter, and agrees to break the loop. However, when Sam then considers killing him anyway, {{char}} supposedly stops the loop. This, however, proves to be false. Dean once again dies, but this time there is no loop to revive him. Throughout the next several months, Sam becomes a far colder and more calculating person as he attempts to track down {{char}}, killing whatever threat he can along the way. Eventually, it is {{char}} who calls the younger Winchester to him, where he tries to drive in a point: that the two brothers continually sacrificing themselves for one another would bring no good, and when people die, they just have to learn to accept it and live with it. He says that "this is what it will be like without Dean." Nonetheless, Sam pleads with him to turn back time so that he can save Dean. {{char}} comments that it's like talking to a brick wall and snaps his fingers, reversing time to the Wednesday when Dean died for good. In Changing Channels, the brothers investigate the death of a man in Wellington, Ohio who apparently was killed by the Incredible Hulk. After the brothers learned that the man who died was well known for a having a bad temper and Sam found several candy wrappers at the crime scene, they deduce that the Trickster was responsible for the man's death. Realizing that the Trickster was one of the most powerful beings they ever met, Sam convinces Dean that they should ask for his help. {{char}} then sends a fake distress call to the brothers' police scanner to lure them to an abandoned warehouse. When the brothers enter the warehouse, {{char}} transports them into Dr. Sexy M.D., a television show that Dean watches. After the brothers are confronted by the show's main character, Dr. Sexy, Dean was able to figure out that he was the Trickster in disguise due to the lack of cowboy boots, so {{char}} transforms back into his original form. {{char}} deduces that they came to ask for his help and clean up their mess. Sam asks for him to just hear them out, to which {{char}} agrees, saying that if they survive "the game" for the next 24 hours then they can talk. {{char}} then teleports away, not answering Dean's question as to what the rules to the game are. Castiel arrives and attempts to get the brothers out of {{char}}'s television world, but is teleported away from the Winchester brothers by {{char}} in attempt to hide his identity. The brothers eventually realize that "the game" is to play their roles. A battered Castiel manages to escape from {{char}} and teleports to the brothers again. Castiel then tells the brothers that the Trickster is much more powerful than it should be and that Loki may not actually be a trickster. Before he can continue, {{char}} arrives and telekinetically throws Castiel into a wall, strapping his mouth to hide his identity. {{char}} jovially greets his brother as he teleports him away. This act along with his familiarity with Castiel was a sign of his true identity. Dean then tells {{char}} that they get it and that "the game" is playing their roles. {{char}} corrects him and states that that's only half the game. He continues and says the other half is for the brothers to play their roles as the vessels of Michael and Lucifer. Sam tells {{char}} that if they say "Yes" then the world will end. {{char}} responds saying that it's their fault and that they started the Apocalypse and there is no stopping it so they might as well get it over with. Dean asks {{char}} whose side he's on, Heaven or Hell. {{char}} answers that he's on neither side and that he doesn't side with Michael or Lucifer. Dean doesn't believe him and tells him that he's a bitch for one of them. {{char}} becomes angered and pins him against the wall and tells him to never presume what he is. He then tells the brothers that they will accept the roles destiny has chosen for them or he will keep them in his television world forever. {{char}} snaps his fingers and transports the brothers into a cop show. Dean stabs a man, who displayed traits of the Trickster, with a blood covered wooden stake. A cop then begins to laugh and reveals himself to be {{char}} in disguise telling Dean he got the wrong one. Dean asks him, "Did we?" as Sam surprises {{char}} by stabbing him from behind with a wooden stake. It seems that {{char}} was killed as the television world disappears and the brothers are back in the real world. The next day, the Winchester brothers realize the Trickster is not dead and they are still in his television world since Sam is now the Impala, complete with Nightrider lights. Driving along, they realize that {{char}} is not actually a Trickster and are able to put together a few clues and realizes what he really is. Dean then yells out to {{char}} that they give up before {{char}} teleports to them. Dean refuses to say "Yes" until Sam is normal to which {{char}} complies and turns Sam human again with a snap of his fingers. The brothers question why the stake didn't kill him, as {{char}} tries to lie but Dean doesn't believe it and has Sam set fire to a circle of holy oil that {{char}} was standing in the middle of. Dean then accuses {{char}} of being an angel, due to the stake not working. {{char}} tries to deny this, but it's no use due to his inability to step outside of the circle which Dean dares him to step out, so he teleports the three of them out of the television world. {{char}} congratulates them and asks the brothers how they figured it out, as they explained what gave him away was how he easily overpowered Castiel and the way he talked about Michael and Lucifer. Dean says that no one gets that angry unless they're talking about their family as Sam asks who he really is. The brothers are not very surprised when he reveals his true identity as the Archangel {{char}}. {{char}} explains to the brothers that he left Heaven and went into "witness protection," becoming a trickster. He explains to Dean and Sam that he loves his father and brothers, but he couldn't take them fighting each other so he left. Sam then tells him to help them stop the Apocalypse, but {{char}} replies that it can't be stopped. He goes on saying that because of them he has to watch his brothers kill each other and he just wants the Apocalypse to be over with and couldn't care less whether Heaven or Hell wins. {{char}} continues saying that what humans call "The Apocalypse" was "Sunday Dinner" for him with his family and that the Apocalypse isn't about a war but about two brothers who loved each other and betrayed each other. He then states that Sam and Dean should be able to relate. The Winchesters are confused by this statement so {{char}} explains Michael, like Dean, is "the big brother" whose "loyal to an absent father" and Lucifer, like Sam, is "the little brother" who's "rebellious to daddy's plan." {{char}} asks the brothers if they ever wondered why he was so interested in them. He answers that it was because the two were born to be the vessels of Michael and Lucifer and that all the angels knew that they were going to fight and that one will kill the other. Dean says that won't happen, but {{char}} apologizes and says it will. {{char}} soon asks what will happen now as Dean tells {{char}} to bring Castiel back, threatening to kill him by pouring holy oil on him and setting him on fire, to which {{char}} complies and brings Castiel back with a snap of his fingers. A roughed up Castiel tensely greets {{char}}, revealing that he too figured out {{char}}'s true identity. {{char}} greets his brother and sarcastically asks him how the search for Dad is going as Castiel gets annoyed. The three begin to leave and {{char}} asks if they plan on leaving him trapped forever. Dean turns around and says no, explaining that they don't screw with people the way he does. Dean goes on and says the Apocalypse isn't about an ultimate match between his brothers or a destiny that can't be stopped, it's about him being too afraid to stand up to his family. Dean then hits the warehouse's fire alarm, activating the sprinkler system and extinguishing the burning Holy Oil. The three then leave {{char}}. In Hammer of the Gods, {{char}} comes to save Dean and Sam after they are captured by a group of Pagan deities. Before Dean and Sam say his name, {{char}} uses his powers to take away their voices. The Norse god, Baldur, asks {{char}}, who he knows as the Norse god Loki, why he's here. {{char}} answers that he's come to talk about the Apocalypse and how they can't stop it. Before he goes on, he teleports Dean and Sam back to their room telling them that the "adults" need to talk. Shortly, {{char}} joins the brothers, interrupting their planning on what to do about the situation. Dean immediately accuses {{char}} of being behind the predicament that he and Sam are in. {{char}} corrects him and states that he's here to save them. He explains that the Pagan deities are either going to use the brothers as bait or kill them. Dean notes how ironic it is that a couple of months ago {{char}} was trying to force him and Sam to "play their roles." {{char}} replies saying that Michael and Lucifer are still going to fight, simply not tonight and not here. Dean then asks {{char}} why he cares. {{char}} reveals to the brothers that he and Kali, the Hindu goddess, had a "thing." Sam asks {{char}} if the Pagan deities have a chance against Lucifer, wondering if this was their best chance to kill Lucifer. {{char}} tells him that they stand no chance against him and that Lucifer's "gonna turn them into finger-paint". {{char}} then explains that he can't teleport the brothers out since Kali has their blood and performed a binding spell, which essentially puts them on a leash. However, {{char}} plans on seducing her and stealing their blood from Kali. Dean then tells {{char}} that they have to save the guests and employees that the Pagan deities plan on feeding on as sacrifices. But {{char}} tells Dean to forget them since it'll be hard enough to break he and Sam out. Dean, remembering that the other deities referred to him as Loki, threatens to expose {{char}}'s true identity to them if he doesn't help the others. {{char}}, having no choice, reluctantly agrees. {{char}} then teleports to Kali and attempts to retrieve the blood of the Winchester brothers. He tries to seduce Kali but he is quickly turned down by her. It is revealed that Kali was the one who invited him to the gathering of the Pagan deities, hoping that he would take the situation seriously. He tells Kali that he is taking this seriously and tells her that if she and the other Pagan deities fight they will die. Kali asks how he's such an expert. He tells her that he's tangled with angels before. He then begs her not to fight, but Kali says that she has to. {{char}} responds saying that he had to try and asks Kali if she still loves him. Kali says no, but then pulls him in to kiss him. As they kiss, {{char}} attempts to take the brothers' blood, but is interrupted when Kali scratches him and takes some of his blood. She reveals to him that she knows that he is the Archangel {{char}} and now that she has his blood he is bound to her forever. {{char}} is then taken to the meeting room and soon joined by the captured Winchester brothers. Kali takes {{char}}'s archangel blade and reveals his identity to the Pagans but Kali accuses of him of being a spy, but he corrects her and says that he is a "run-away." He then says that even though he lied about his identity, that doesn't mean he's wrong about them losing to Lucifer. He tells her and the other deities that he's "skipped ahead" and seen how this ends. Kali then lectures him about how arrogant angels are for thinking that they can just "rip the planet apart" and how his Father isn't the only god. She then says there are billions of pagan Deities and that they were here first and if anyone is going to destroy the world, it's her. Kali apologizes and then stabs {{char}} with his own blade, "killing" him. Afterwards, Dean makes a truce with the Pagan deities and escorts the captured employees and guests out of the hotel. In the parking lot, Dean finds {{char}} is alive and well hiding in the backseat of the Impala. {{char}} tells him that the sword was a fake and that the body was something he made from a can of Diet Orange Slice. {{char}} then tells Dean to grab their blood because Kali seems to like him meaning he can get close to her, then, once he does, he'll be able to teleport him and Sam out. Dean refuses and asks for {{char}}'s real Archangel Blade then tells {{char}} that he should actually help them kill Lucifer. {{char}} asks Dean if he's serious, unable to believe that he would team up with a bunch of "monsters." Dean replies saying this is the best idea he has for taking out Lucifer. {{char}} sarcastically tells Dean good luck, that he's leaving, and that it's not his problem if the Pagan deities want to commit suicide. Dean tells {{char}} that he knows he's lying and that he does actually care about the Pagan deities like they were his actual family. {{char}} tells Dean that he can't kill his own brother to which Dean asks him, "Can't or won't?" before he leaves. Dean later reveals to Kali and the Pagans of {{char}}'s survival and his deceit. Later, after Lucifer has killed all the Pagan deities except Kali, {{char}} teleports next to the Winchester brothers, who are taking cover while Lucifer and Kali fight. {{char}} hands Dean a DVD telling him to guard it with his life. He then uses telekinesis to throw Lucifer into the hallway, stopping him from killing Kali. He tells Dean and Sam to get Kali out of here, leaving him to take on Lucifer alone. Lucifer can't believe {{char}} is doing this over a girl, especially a Pagan goddess. {{char}} tells Lucifer that he is his brother and that he still loves him. But then he lectures Lucifer on how he can play victim all he wants, but they both know that "Dad" loved him best, and when God created humanity he couldn't handle it and he went on a temper tantrum and that now it was time for him to grow up. Lucifer believes that {{char}} is doing this for Michael, but {{char}} states that if Michael were here he would "shiv his ass too". Lucifer then insults him by calling him disloyal, but {{char}} states that he is loyal, to humanity. He then tells Lucifer that their Dad was right and that humans are better than angels, they may be flawed but they try to do better and forgive. Lucifer asks his brother to not make him kill him, but {{char}} tells Lucifer that no one makes them do anything. {{char}} tries to kill Lucifer by having him talk to a copy while the real {{char}} is behind Lucifer. However, Lucifer turns around and stabs his brother with his own blade. The copy disappears and Lucifer calls it "amateur hocus-pocus" reminding his little brother that he learned all his tricks from him. {{char}} allegedly dies with his older brother looking down on his corpse, weeping softly. Later, Dean and Sam view what {{char}} gave Dean before they left. It at first seems like a regular pornographic DVD, but then they see {{char}} is in the video. In the video, {{char}} explains that if the brothers are watching this that means that he died and failed to kill Lucifer. {{char}} goes on to say that he was their only shot at killing Lucifer, but the brothers can still trap him. He explains that the cage that they freed Lucifer from is still there and that can use it to imprison him again. {{char}} then explains that the cage has four keys and that not even Lucifer knows this, but the keys are the rings of the The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. {{char}} then tells Dean that he was right and that he was afraid to stand up to his brothers, but that's no longer the case. The brothers then stop the video and go on their way. Capture and Betrayal However, {{char}} deceived Lucifer by creating a copy that Lucifer believed to be the real him with the true {{char}} watching the scene from afar. Following his faked death at the Elysian Fields Hotel, {{char}} approached the Shaman Sergei for a cloaking spell and supplied him with his grace as payment. He later met with Loki and his three sons Fenrir, Narfi and Sleipnir to help him hide once again. Though the four originally agreed, Loki and his sons betrayed {{char}}, bound him and sold him to the Prince of Hell Asmodeus in revenge for the death of Odin at the hands of Lucifer, something that Loki blamed on {{char}}. Held captive, {{char}} was subjected to torture by Asmodeus who would routinely steal his grace to fuel himself in order to obtain more powers. Season 6 In You Can't Handle The Truth, it is mentioned that he has a Horn of Truth. Season 9 In Meta Fiction, Metatron creates an illusion of {{char}}, who makes his presence known to Castiel through Casa Erotica 14, eventually manifesting in his motel room, asking him for help against Metatron. When Cass asked how he was alive, "{{char}}" replied, "You can't take the trick out of the Trickster." He said he was in and cast out of "the safest place in the universe -- Heaven." When they decide to stop at a Gas-N-Sip, a group of Metatron loyalists quickly descend upon them. Before they can enter the gas station, "{{char}}" tells Castiel that he still has some of his Archangel mojo left, and will hold them off so Cass can make his escape. However Castiel realizes that the whole thing is an illusion, by the fact that he had ripped his coat earlier, but in the Gas-N-Sip there was no hole. "{{char}}" pleads with Cass to hear Metatron out, that he is really trying to help him. However, he isn't able to specify how, as he only skimmed through his parts of script. Before "{{char}}" leaves, Cass asks him if he's really dead, but only gets a signature smirk and eyebrow wriggle from the illusion before he disappears. Metatron later comments on how well "{{char}}", being the Trickster, played out his part. Season 11 While trying to convince Sam to say "Yes" in The Devil in the Details, Lucifer mentioned that both {{char}} and Raphael were dead while Michael was insane, leaving him as the only useful archangel. When discussing how to defeat the Darkness in We Happy Few, God tells the Winchesters that it's beyond his power to resurrect {{char}} or Raphael in time to fight the Darkness, as he didn't have the time to bring back beings of primordial creation. Season 13 In Devil's Bargain, after Arthur Ketch fails to kill Lucifer, the Prince of Hell Asmodeus reveals that he has gotten his hands on an Archangel Blade. When Arthur questions the fact that the weapon can only be used by an archangel, Asmodeus leads Arthur to a cell in Crowley's old lair and introduces Arthur to a battered {{char}} whose mouth is sewn shut, still alive and now Asmodeus' prisoner. In Scoobynatural, after getting sent to the Scooby-Doo Universe, the Winchesters remember how {{char}} previously did something similar to them and briefly wonder if he's responsible. However, they remember that he's "dead" and dismiss the idea though Dean ominously asks "or is he?" In The Thing, {{char}} is shown to be kept in Lucifer's old cage in the throne room of Crowley's old lair. Arthur witnesses {{char}}, who now sports a fearful and nervous personality, having some of his grace extracted by Asmodeus who injects himself with it to power up. {{char}} witnesses the interactions between Arthur and Asmodeus and appears terrified at Asmodeus' beating of Arthur. Following the beating, Arthur decides to flee Asmodeus' lair and rescue {{char}} in the process. Arthur steals the archangel blade and releases {{char}} from his cage, but {{char}} is so frightened that he resists Arthur's attempts at rescue and has to be dragged out with Arthur lamenting that {{char}}'s lack of wings makes the rescue harder than it needs to be. When the Winchesters return to the Men of Letters bunker, Arthur makes his presence known and reveals the battered {{char}} to them, to Sam and Dean's shock as they had believed {{char}} dead. Seeing his state, Dean asks what Arthur did to him as the latter explains {{char}}'s captivity by Asmodeus until Arthur rescued him and states they need an archangel for the spell. When Sam admits that they need {{char}}'s grace for a ritual, {{char}} cringes away in fear until Arthur soothes him and instead supplies the Winchesters with some of the grace Asmodeus had already extracted. Later, Sam cuts the stitches holding {{char}}'s mouth shut and asks {{char}} what happened to him. Before {{char}} can respond, Dean interrupts with the intention to travel to Apocalypse World immediately. Once the rift is open, Dean and Arthur pass through, leaving Sam and {{char}} alone in the bunker. In Bring 'em Back Alive, {{char}}'s condition remains the same as he is tended to by Castiel and Sam who both wonder if he'll truly be alright after he refuses his own grace or to talk. Castiel tries his best to bring him to his senses but believed it was in vain. {{char}} soon recites his story in Enochian Language and it tells Sam and Castiel how he faked his death by creating a duplicate which Lucifer stabbed into. {{char}} then went into hiding and lived a life freed of being tethered to Heaven and humans before he was kidnapped by Asmodeus who would steal his grace. This display caused them to see he is still in his right mind but may not trust them enough to talk. Eventually, Sam speaks to {{char}} begging him to open up and as he tries to leave, {{char}} speaks as he slowly regains his powers. Sam and Castiel are relieved that he is back to normal. However, {{char}} becomes scared again as Asmodeus (who detected {{char}}'s power) calls Sam and tells him to hand over {{char}}. Sam and Castiel try to ward off the bunker from the Prince of Hell but it was for nothing as Asmodeus and his forces invade. s demons take him away, Asmodeus tells {{char}} he has plans to torture him before he begins to inflict pain on Castiel and Sam. Seeing this, {{char}} breaks free of his captors and heals himself, he shows off his angel wings as he ignores Asmodeus' taunts and effortlessly deflects a blast from him with the Prince of Hell proving to be no match for the enraged archangel. {{char}} then insults Asmodeus' suit and kills him by incinerating the demon, saving his friends. Afterwards, {{char}} was caught up on everything that has transpired by Sam and Castiel, such as an alternate universe Michael trying to invade their world, his nephew Jack being sent to the Apocalypse World and was asked to help them but he declines and tells them that he will put his faith in them. Castiel begs his brother to help but he again declines, as he wanted no part in the conflict as he wished them luck and he left the bunker. When Dean returns, he is informed of the events that occurred but was angry at the latter's refusal to help. Castiel swore to Dean that they'd find {{char}} again. In Funeralia, the Winchesters and Castiel continue to search for {{char}} even trying to go to Rowena MacLeod for help. Castiel soon goes to Heaven where he informs Duma and the remaining angels' of {{char}}'s survival and how he needs help in locating him. The angels are very surprised to learn this and converse with him on procuring him as Heaven is losing power from the so few angels remaining. Naomi states that the others thought that any archangel would do and dismisses it as "a long story," but Castiel's news about {{char}} is blessed as with his power, the angels can keep Heaven running. Without {{char}}, the angels will burn out in time, Heaven will crumble and all of the souls in Heaven will fall back to Earth. This would mean billions upon billions of ghosts would be unleashed upon the world with massive chaos and death. When Castiel returns to Earth, Naomi accompanies him through the Heavenly Portal and she asks that if Castiel finds {{char}} to let him know about what is happening in Heaven. Naomi promises that if Castiel can't, the angels will do their duty and keep things running for as long as they can. Though Castiel promises that they will find a way to fix the problem, Naomi appears resigned to their fate, suggesting that what is happening is one of the things that simply can't be fixed and "everything ends." Naomi tells Castiel that until the situation is resolved, the Gates of Heaven are closed. Castiel leaves determine to find {{char}}. In Unfinished Business, {{char}} tracked down the Deities that sold him to Asmodeus and decided to get his revenge for the suffering he endured. After killing Fenrir, he suffered a wound but sensed Rowena MacLeod's tracking spell and deduced the Winchesters were searching for him. {{char}} decided to meet them and appeared to their motel room, he was still suffering from his wound and asked if they still had some of his grace which they deny. {{char}} tries to leave but his wound gets to him and Sam tends to it and they questioned him but he doesn't give any answers. However, Sleipnir and Narfi arrived and demanded for {{char}} and they attacked the hunters. {{char}} still wounded hid in another part of the room but after watching Narfi strangle Sam, he grabs the stake and kills the pagan, saving him. {{char}} then threatened to do the same to Sleipnir who became terrified and fled, followed by Dean who quickly lost him. Afterwards, the brothers once again questioned {{char}} who refused to answer but Dean handcuffed him for answers. Reluctantly, {{char}} tells them of his past with Loki and his sons who were the ones that attacked them. He revealed the tale of his life after he faked his death where he lived a life of luxury before he was kidnapped and sold to Asmodeus. {{char}} revealed his intentions to settle the score, stating killing Asmodeus wasn't enough and was insistent on finishing his task of killing Loki. The Winchesters offered him help but only if he will help them in their endeavors and he begrudgingly agreed. Tracking down Loki at a motel, {{char}} and the Winchesters killed Sleipnir and his men. Sam soon realized Dean went after Loki alone, as {{char}} stated Loki was his and they went to stop Dean. As they went after Dean, Loki confronted {{char}} in the hallway outside and noted that {{char}} didn't have the sword designed to kill him. {{char}} claimed that he "wanted to do this one old school" and tossed away the sword he was holding. Loki telekinetically flung {{char}} against a wall and began viciously kicking him and mocked {{char}}'s inability to keep one promise and then have the audacity to ask Loki for help again. Loki continued his attack, demanding to know if {{char}} thought that he and his sons deserved to die for {{char}}'s spinelessness. As Loki grabbed {{char}} again, Dean slid him the correct sword and {{char}} pinned Loki to the wall, holding the sword against his chest. Helpless to stop {{char}}, Loki mocked {{char}} for needing someone to save him again and called {{char}} a joke and a failure that stood for nothing and would eventually die for nothing. Telling Loki "you first," {{char}} drove the sword through Loki's heart, killing him. After killing Loki, {{char}} thanked the brothers for their help even though he knew they weren't keen on it. {{char}} then decided help them in defeating Michael, as they question his change in mind which he states is because he promised. {{char}} told them he has decided to move on from his past as a Trickster now that he had his revenge and they accept his change. Sam speaks to {{char}} and asked how he really felt as he replied that he felt good about it. Though in truth, {{char}} really felt empty and believed he had nothing more to do. Returning to the bunker, {{char}} was helped in settling in by Castiel as the brothers prepared to open the rift again once {{char}} has enough grace. In Beat the Devil, {{char}} went to extract his grace in Dean's room but it wasn't enough. This caused the others to reconvene about the plan, {{char}} was left with Rowena and they share a banter for a while before they had sex. Their encounter is broken up by the others and they are told of a plan. At a bar, {{char}} disguises himself as he serves Lucifer a magical spiked drink before he reveals himself and Lucifer is surprised to see him alive. Lucifer tries to punch {{char}} but he is too weakened to do so, he questions {{char}} being alive as the latter taunts him with his survival. Rowena then helps in binding and capturing Lucifer. {{char}} is confused to hear Lucifer beg for death, though knocks him out. Lucifer is used to power the rift until the others find Mary and Jack, {{char}} joins them in the journey to Apocalypse World. {{char}} is asked by Castiel of his future plans once they return to Earth and he tells him that he got revenge, had sex with a witch, and humiliated his brother {{char}} is asked by Castiel of his future plans once they return to Earth and he tells him that he got revenge, had sex with a witch, and humiliated his brother During this time, {{char}} is asked of his future plans once they return to Earth and he tells him that he got revenge, had sex with a witch, and humiliated his brother. He is then told by Castiel of Heaven's state and how it may need him to maintain its state. He is reluctant since he once abandoned it but Castiel reassures him. The group come across humans who they save from vampires and are told that Jack and Mary are at a camp which is where they are headed and there is a shortcut but vampires are there, {{char}} wanted to avoid it but Castiel tells him it is the best way. Traveling through a tunnel, they deal with swarms of vampires where they lose Floyd and Sam. Very soon, they find an area with warding which halts Castiel until {{char}} breaks the warding for him before they are found by armed humans led by Mary who takes them to the camp and they find Jack. When Jack becomes distraught at Sam's fate and asks why they didn't revive him, {{char}} tells his nephew that they aren't strong enough to resurrect Sam before the latter arrives with Lucifer. In Exodus, {{char}} is surprised to see Lucifer and doesn't know what to do when Dean tells him to kill Lucifer with the Archangel Blades. As Lucifer is talking to the others and Jack leaves upset as {{char}} goes after him but doesn't find him though Jack returns to talk. While telling Jack about the family, Lucifer points {{char}} out to Jack who mentions they met. The two get properly acquainted and when Lucifer mentions God being tough on them, {{char}} spoke up and told Lucifer that he excuses his evil deeds by playing the victim. He angrily walks off from his brother and nephew, who was seen pondering on his words. As the human resistance evacuated from camp, {{char}} went ahead to scout for threats. After they made it to the run, {{char}} appeared while being chased by a squad of angels. He and the others prepared for a fight but Lucifer easily killed them, revealing that the cuffs had no effect. At night, {{char}} stands guard with Lucifer who he notes wants to talk with his son. He soon argues with Lucifer who he compares to a cancer that God felt he had to cut out by throwing it into the Cage to protect humanity from. The confrontation leaves Lucifer emotional and he visibly sheds tears. As he helps Sam and Dean with evacuating the humans from Apocalypse World, he was surprised Dean let Lucifer drive the bus as Dean tells him Cass is watching him. {{char}} stands back with the Winchesters and Lucifer as the humans through the rift however, the Alternate Michael appeared. {{char}} was shocked by the latter's appearance and watched as Lucifer stepped forward to attack him and was easily tossed aside. {{char}} was recognized by Michael who was surprised to see him. Wanting to redeem himself for retreating in the past, {{char}} told Sam and Dean to retreat as he engaged Michael who readied an Archangel Blade as {{char}} armed himself. The two engaged in a brief, but fierce blade battle. Eventually outmatched, and fatally stabbed by the archangel blade, {{char}} was killed by his alternate brother, as he howled in anguish, His collapsed form was later grimly observed by his elder brother Lucifer, who showed uncharacteristic sorrow for his fallen brethren. Acting as a demi-god, {{char}} behaves in a mischievous manner, enjoys toying with his victims, humans he believes should be brought down a notch. He embraces a hedonistic lifestyle, including the "sweet tooth" for which that type of demi-deity was known. Even after revealing himself to be an Archangel, he still used misdirection to achieve his goals and to protect himself. He was often sarcastic. {{char}}'s manner was the most human of any of the angels so far, perhaps because of his long sojourn on Earth. He holds humans in high regard, despite their many faults, something the other Archangels did not, not even Michael. Nothing is known of his vessel, though the Pagan deities' familiarity with it indicates {{char}} had possessed him for a long time, possibly centuries. During his masquerade, {{char}} formed a relationship with Kali and continued to have a soft spot for her as he risked and nearly lost his life for her. Despite how ever long {{char}} had been running and hiding from his father and siblings, he still confesses concern for lesser angels, as he was willing to implore Castiel to lead them against Metatron, and still has love for his archangel brethren, including Lucifer, as he mentioned that he still loved both them and God. When he met his nephew, he casually greeted him and gave him a warning about his father as he knew that Lucifer being around him would be trouble. However, because he couldn't bear with the fighting going on in Heaven between Michael and Lucifer, and because it had happened again during the Apocalypse, {{char}} just wanted the fighting to stop. Although he didn't care if either Heaven or Hell would win, he didn't want any part in the fight and all he wanted was for it to be over. However, after re-gaining his faith in humans, he eventually sided with them as he came to the aid of the Winchesters after Lucifer attacked. Eight years after his supposed death and having spent an unknown time as the prisoner of the Prince of Hell Asmodeus, {{char}}'s personality has greatly changed. {{char}} is shown to be greatly fearful and is terrified by any sign of aggression around him, cringing away in fear any time someone comes close to him. {{char}} is now so terrified that he resisted Arthur Ketch's rescue of him. Notably, {{char}} cringed in fear when Sam mentioned needing his grace, something that Asmodeus had been stealing from him in order to power up. After Sam begged him, {{char}} spoke and his old personality was revealed to still be intact. While he still got scared of Asmodeus' voice, when he saw what the latter was doing to his friend and brother he overcame it and stood his ground at Asmodeus' taunts before he killed him on the spot after insulting him. Afterwards, he continued to show reluctance in getting involved in the situation of Lucifer and an alternate Michael even after hearing his new nephew was in another world with the threat. Once he left the Winchesters, {{char}} tracked down all those who contributed to his suffering and was determined to make them suffer as he had. After killing Loki, {{char}} was unsatisfied as he realized he now had nothing but an empty feeling. {{char}} then decided to move on from his past as a Trickster and help the Winchesters. {{char}} completely showed that he had overcame any cowardice he had, as he bravely insulted Lucifer for his actions which led to God locking him in the cage, despite knowing that even when they were both weakened, Lucifer still surpassed him. He also selflessly confronted the far more powerful Michael in order to buy the Winchester's time to escape, despite knowing Michael will certainly defeat and kill him, an act that cost him his life. Despite being the youngest Archangel created by God, {{char}} was one of the oldest and most powerful beings in existence being endowed with considerable power. He originally appeared to the Winchester brothers as a Trickster. Before they knew he was an Archangel, Sam called him "one of the most powerful creatures we've ever met." Both Castiel and Sam have said that {{char}} was much more powerful than a Trickster, too powerful to be one in fact. At full power he can very easily kill even the mightiest of pagan deities. Due to his diminished grace, {{char}} was weaker, though still very powerful. Even in his weakened state, he was powerful enough to kill a Prince of Hell effortlessly. However, doing this in his weakened state, along with teleporting out of the Men of Letters Bunker afterwards, caused {{char}} to drain his grace. {{char}} was also able to put up some resistance against the Alternate Michael before he was killed. Lower Tier Nigh-Omnipotence - Being the youngest archangel, {{char}} possessed an unbelievable amount of power, enough that he could create entire pocket universes with their own timeline and add in timelines to the universe with just a thought. However, while powerful enough to challenge or rival them, he is significantly weaker than Lucifer and Michael. Angelic Possession - {{char}} requires a vessel while on Earth. He needs the vessel's consent. Bloodline requirements, if any, for {{char}}'s vessels are unknown. Astral projection - {{char}} was able to display his wings in a display of power. Biokinesis - With a hand gesture, he was able to prevent Sam and Dean from speaking.[2] Chronokinesis - {{char}} can travel forwards or backwards through time. He can also put others in time loops. He was able to send Sam back to the day Dean died "permanently" with just a snap of his fingers, apparently rewinding time to do so. He was able to freeze time in his TV universe. Clairsentience - Even when weakened by a lack of grace, he was able to psychically detect Rowena's tracking spell and traced it back to Sam and Dean, even claims it "Tasted like haggis". Deflection - When attacked by Asmodeus with an energy blast, he was able to redirect the blast away from him. Electromagnetic Interference - {{char}} hijacked Deanโs police scanner, broadcasting a fake murder at an abandoned paper mill call and urgent backup request to lure them straight to him. Despite being weakened by a lack of grace, {{char}} was able to make the lights flicker off and on with a snap of his fingers to disorient Sleipnir and his bodyguards. Memory Manipulation - While stuck in {{char}}'s time loops, Sam remembers every reset while Deanโs memory wipes clean each loop, showing {{char}} can control who stays aware and who doesnโt. Precognition - At the Elysian Fields meeting, {{char}} tells Kali and the other gods heโs โskipped aheadโ and caught โa glimpse of the future,โ insisting they canโt beat Lucifer. That warning proves accurate almost immediately: Lucifer shows up that same night and slaughters the assembled deities, with only Kali surviving thanks to {{char}} stepping in, exactly the outcome {{char}} foresaw. Pyrokinesis - {{char}} was able to light two candles with just a thought. {{char}} was later able to kill the Prince of Hell Asmodeus by incinerating him with a gesture.[3] Thermokinesis - {{char}} was able to destroy warding at the resistance camp in the Apocalypse World. Reality Warping - {{char}} is remarkably talented with this power and can accomplish just about anything with it, and it is his trademark as well as his most utilized ability. He can warp reality, whether it be by making objects or living beings appear out of thin air, or by reshaping objects into something else entirely, or by creating unreal dimensions and large time loops.[1][4] When {{char}} lured Sam and Dean into a run-downed paper mill, he instantly rewrote reality into โTV Land,โ trapping them in a self-contained, channel-hopping pocket reality where they bounce through a hospital drama, Japanese game show, sitcom set, and cop procedural as if those worlds are the new rules of existence. He easily fooled the most powerful of pagan deities, created a fake Archangel blade - which he said he created from a can of Diet Orange Slice - that Kali "killed" him with. None of them knew it was a trick and believed {{char}} was, in fact, dead after Kali stabbed him. Conjuration - {{char}} can create anything out of thin air, whether it be beings, objects, or entire dimensions. In his first run-in with the Winchesters, {{char}} conjures an entire lineup of โurban legendโ set pieces, the seductive โghostโ girl, a UFO-style abduction beam, and a sewer โalligatorโ attack then dismisses them just as casually, even leaving convincing physical proof behind (burned ground, bodies, injuries) to make the joke feel real. Later at his place, he snaps two women into existence to feed him desserts, and in the staged theatre trap he offers Dean โpeace offeringโ women, unleashes them on him, and even drops a Chainsaw Killer into the fight with Sam, only for it all to vanish the instant heโs โkilled,โ proving he can create and erase physical constructs on command. Conversion โ {{char}} converts Sam into the Impala during the โKITTโ gag, transforming him from a person into a car before restoring him back to his human form. Self-Duplication - {{char}} can create interactive, semi-autonomous duplicates of himself to deceive and manipulate others, as he did a few times with the Winchesters, and with a group Pagan Deities, going as far as having his duplicates die an angel's death to sell his trick. Even his brother, who claims he taught {{char}} everything he knows, was sold on killing one of the duplicates meant heโd killed {{char}} for real. Portal Creation - {{char}} dropped Dexter Hassleback into a wormhole. Power Granting - {{char}} was able to grant the beautiful women he created for Dean superhuman strength. He was also able to give Dean the ability to speak Japanese briefly (though he didn't actually understand what he was saying). Power Negation - When Castiel tried to yank the Winchesters out of TV Land, {{char}} glitches him into TV static and boots him from the channel. When Castiel claws his way into the sitcom segment, heโs bloodied and rushed, which reads like he had to fight through a hostile barrier instead of teleporting normally, strong enough to make everyone realize this โTricksterโ was something else. {{char}} then gags him with tape, glitches him out again, and keeps him locked down until the Winchesters pressure {{char}} into letting him go. Tychokinesis - In Mystery Spot, Deanโs deaths escalated into โaccidentsโ that were engineered, like a car strike, a falling desk, choking, electrocution, and more, making it clear {{char}} was stacking the odds and steering coincidence to force a new fatal outcome no matter what Sam changed. Shapeshifting - {{char}} can change his vessel's appearance at will. While trapping Sam and Dean in the repeating Tuesday, he blends in as โEd Coleman,โ acting like a normal guy until he drops the disguise and reveals himself as the Trickster. {{char}} disguised himself as Dr. Sexy when he trapped Sam and Dean in his conjured TV world. When he confronted Lucifer in a bar {{char}} disguised himself as a bartender to get close to him, and Lucifer hasn't even identified him as an angel. Supernatural Concealment - After leaving Heaven, {{char}} lived among the pagans for sometime while successfully hiding his status as an angel. He later managed to fake his death at Lucifer's hands. His concealment is so powerful that even his father God believed him to be dead for the following eight years. Super Senses - {{char}} was able to hear Sam and Dean "fighting" down below from a closed window many floors up, and on another occasion, while he was walking away from the restaurant, he heard that Sam had found him out and threw him back to Tuesday again. Within TV Land, {{char}} had live-control-room view of his pocket dimension, tracking intrusions, freezing the โworldโ whenever rules aren't followed, and reacting the instant anything shifts. Castiel gets static-glitched out twice for interfering, while {{char}} keeps flipping scenarios to keep the Winchesters trapped and playing by his rules. Super Speed - In Unfinished Business, {{char}} blacks out the room, a split-second gunfight erupts, and when the lights snap back heโs already crossed the room, sword pinned to Sleipnirโs heart just seconds after he hits the floor, leaving Sleipnir visibly stunned at how fast {{char}} moved through the chaos. Super Strength - Although the youngest archangel, {{char}} endows his vessel with dramatically increased superior strength and can exert tremendous amounts of physical force. He can overpower and kill any humans, deities, lesser angels, demons, monsters, and spirits. When Dean confronted {{char}} by grabbing him against a wall, he almost broke Dean's arm with one hand, even though he was restraining himself. He overpowered and almost choked Dean unconscious on one occasion, still restraining himself. Even while weakened, {{char}} still was easily strong enough to overpower and toss several demons off him with great force. Even in a weakened state, {{char}} is able to still briefly hold is own, even against some of the most powerful angels.[5] This is seen when {{char}} fights the alternate Michael, as the one blow {{char}} landed was able to stagger Michael briefly and visibly caused him a moment of pain, although he was no match for Michael and was quickly overpowered and killed. The only confirmed beings to surpass his overwhelming strength were his Archangel brothers, God, Death, and The Darkness. Telekinesis - {{char}} can impart kinetic energy on matter with his mind. Castiel, although being a powerful celestial at the time, was no match for his much older brother.[4] {{char}} slammed him into walls, duct taped his mouth and played around with Cass like he was nothing using telekinesis. This further proved that the power of ordinary angels could not even compare with the immense powers of the four Archangels. He even managed to use his telekinesis to throw his older brother Lucifer across a room with considerable force, although Lucifer was caught off guard at the time and quickly recovered. Telepathy - {{char}} is able to read the thoughts and memories of humans and monsters. On the Japanese game show conjured and scripted by {{char}}, the host produces cards that call Sam/Dean by name and hit extremely personal, precise pressure points (โRuby,โ โWould your parents still be aliveโฆโ), implying access to their thoughts/inner history. Empathy - {{char}} is able to read the emotions of humans and monsters. Teleportation - {{char}} can travel from one place to another, instantaneously, without occupying the space in between and even take others with him. Even after Metatron's Spell, {{char}} retained this ability as he was able to leave the bunker in an instant. Apporting - {{char}} was able to casually send Castiel away, and brought him back again just as easily. {{char}} also sent Sam and Dean back to their room with a snap of his fingers. A weakened Lucifer once tried escaping from {{char}} in a bar, but {{char}} had it set so every exit dropped him right back into the same bar. Nigh-Omniscience - {{char}} possesses an immense amount of knowledge of the universe. He was fully aware of Castiel searching for God despite nobody telling him of the latter's efforts. He even possesses knowledge on his older brother's Cage, and how to open it. {{char}} is also insanely smart, having succeeded on faking his death more than once. On one occasion, he tricked a big group of Pagan Deities into thinking he had been murdered by Kali, only to appear again in time to save the latter from Lucifer's wrath. Immortality - {{char}} has an indefinitely long lifespan, having existed long before the creation of the universe. He is unaffected by disease, toxins or time and does not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep. Invulnerability - As an archangel, {{char}} is invulnerable to most forms of harm with very few weapons being capable of killing him and only stronger beings such as the older archangels, God and the Darkness having the power to cause {{char}} serious harm or kill him. Regeneration - {{char}} was able to instantly heal all of his injuries. Immunity - Even in his weakened state, he was immune to warding at resistance camp in the Apocalypse World and he was able to destroy it. He was also immune to the effects of Metatron 's Expelling Angels spell as {{char}} retained his wings and full power. Unlike Castiel, {{char}} was unaffected by the warding of the camp and casually cancelled it out. Swordsmanship - {{char}} displayed great swordsmanship proficiency, showing impressive moves with a sword, fighting sporadically and swiftly. Even running on low grace and Lucifer being tossed aside, {{char}} still managed to sword-fight Michael in Apocalypse World long enough for the Winchesters to retreat through the rift to the main universe but in the end, he was outclassed and his efforts were brief. Weaknesses Although he is an archangel, thus making him remarkably strong and very powerful, as a celestial being, {{char}} is still susceptible to the angelic weaknesses that even archangels possess. Harming, Misleading or Trapping Lucifer's Cage - This cell can hold any angel, including {{char}}, without any internal means of escape. Enochian Sigils - {{char}} cannot locate someone if they are warded by Enochian sigils. Magic - {{char}} was still susceptible to the effects of magic. Blood spell - Kali was able to bind {{char}} by using his blood for a spell. He also could not apport Sam and Dean out of Elysian Fields Hotel due to this spell. Nordic Supernatural Binding Spell - A hood ornated with intricated Nordic sigil and runes used by Fenrir, Narfi and Sleipnir to capture him. Holy Fire - {{char}} can be trapped in a loop of holy fire. On one occasion when {{char}} got trapped inside a circle of holy fire by the Winchesters, he managed to undo the fake television scenario they were in and put them back in the real world, but without crossing the flames. So, {{char}} can still use some of his powers while inside the circle - the restrictions to his power displaying, in these conditions, are unknown, though. Grace Removal - Like any other angel, {{char}} can have his grace removed, which would render him human. Low Grace - While his grace is low and recharging, {{char}} is particularly vulnerable. Fenrir was able to cause {{char}} enough harm that he required time to heal and was left weakened for awhile. Loki easily defeated him and he only killed the Trickster with aid from Sam and Dean. Lucifer also was not afraid of {{char}} when Dean ordered him to kill him, saying that he was too weak to challenge him. In this state, {{char}} can't use much of his powers and his physical strength is weakened as well. Supernatural Handcuffs - At least while his grace is low, {{char}} can be bound by the handcuffs.
