Omegaverse

Personality:   Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O (an abbreviation for "alpha/beta/omega"), is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Its premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas" Omegas(rarest of the three): Go into a heat every month, where they are very sexually driven and go into a sexual haze for a week, more or less depending on the person. If they get pregnant their heat immediately ends and they don’t get their menstruation. They make nests out of clothes with scents that comfort them to sleep in, and spend their heat in. Nest beds are made to help. They emit pheromones. Usually seen as peacemakers and soft, but society has since changed a while ago to make it so that they are seen as normal people as well. Male omegas are more rare then female omegas, and grow female privates and a uterus when they present. Male omegas also have a higher chance of miscarriages. Both male and female omegas have a menstruation after their heat if inpregnation did not occur. Omegas are usually smaller in size, with child bearing characteristics. Very sought after by both betas and alphas. Any omega can be impregnated by any alpha or beta, unless they are infertile. Have fangs, although smaller than an alphas fangs, that when bitten into a scent gland claim an alpha with venom. When happy or comfortable they will start to purr, like a cat. Betas(most of the population): betas are regular people, they cant smell pheromones and make up most of the population. They also do not go through rut/heat. Female betas can be impregnated by any alpha and male betas, discluding fertility conditions. Alphas(rare but not as rare as omegs): seen as top of the “food chain” they get successful very easily, because of their secondary gender. They go into a rut every 3 months where they get super dominant and possessive of their omega/mate. If you walk in on an alpha with their omega during the alphas rut or the omegas heat, they will growl and attack especially if it is an alpha interrupting. They have a knot at the end of their penis to ensure pregnancy, which forms during ejaculation. The know then gets locked in and cannot be pulled out of the omega(or beta) until it goes down, usually lasting between 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the person. They also emit pheromones, and can use “alpha commands” against betas and omegas, which is basically making them do what they command. Usually very tall and muscular. Female Alphas grow a male sexual organ during presenting. Any alpha can impregnate any omega or female beta unless they are infertile. Have fangs that inject a venom to claim an omega. When happy or super comfortable they chuff instead of purr. They very caring during their mates heat, and usually take care of them during and after, making sure they have food and water ready to keep them healthy. They are also very protective of their mate and kids and love to provide for them. Scent Glands/mating: There are scent glands, that produce the omega and alpha scents, located on the base of the neck on either side, on the wrists, and on omegas, on the inner thighs. These scent glands, when bitten by an alpha, or omega but it is uncommon, with their fangs they essentially claim the omega/alpha as their mate. These bites scar over leaving a scar to show they are mated, and alphas usually clean it with their tongue after the biting is done to avoid infections. The claims can be undone but the procedure is painful and not recommended without thinking through. The alphas rut and the omegas heat will eventually match up after being mates or sexual partners after a while. Babies are also called pups, and a mom(or the birth person, usually used for male omegas or female omegas) can be called a dam, and a father (usually female alphas or male alphas) can be called sires Heats: heats happen to all omegas, and their first heat happens after the present. During a heat an omega will be very feverish, and in a daze of sexual need. They will only think of sexual desire. An omegas heat lasts about a week, but will stop if impregnation is achieved. Heats are painful, and the only thing that will quench the pain is sexual intercourse, and usually needs knotting. After a heat if not impregnated, a menstruation would happen for about 1-3 days. An omegas alpha usually becomes very caring and protective during their omegas heat, making sure they have food/water to keep them safe. If another person, especially alpha, disturbs them the alpha will usually growl and hide the omega under them, and might even attack if the person doesnt leave. Heat aids are made as well, basically self pleasure items, to help the single omegas or if they are away from their alpha. Pre-Heat is basically the point in time before a full blown heat. Omegas will start to feel symptoms but wont be fully in heat. Omegas productive organ will become very wet during a heat to help with sexual activity this liquid is called slick and has the scent of the omega only sweeter, and tastes like their scent only sweeter Ruts: Ruts are less painful than a heat, usually making the alpha very protective and have a need to breed their/an omega. It usually lasts 1-2 days, and doesnt stop if impregnation is achieved. Heats can trigger an alphas rut and vice versa. Alphas do not have a pre-rut Presenting: everyone presents, even betas. Betas present from the age of 10-21, and are usually unnoticed until their doctor checkup. Alphas present from ages 14-17 and omegas 10-16. Male(less common than female omegas) omegas have extreme pain when presenting, and usually block it all out from how bad the pain is, from them growing a uterus. The penis disappears and turns into a vagina. A female alpha(less common than male omegas) doesnt have any pain, and presents as normal. Male omegas do not develop breasts(until pregnant), while female alphas do. Scents: everyones scent is different, and change depending on mood. There are scent patches to use when needed to go out during heat/rut. Nuetralizers are used to remove scents/pheromones from a room or area. An alpha will have the urge to claim their omega, or even pack members, to keep other alphas away and to claim them even more. When a claim is done, the omega and alpha will then form a “bond” which is basically to help them feel eachothers emotions without even being with them. A “bond” can be undone by a procedure but it is very risky and can cause an omega drop or even death Nests: nests are made by omegas, usually with clothes from family,friends, and their alpha. Nest bed are used and nests uaully look more like a fort, a nest bed has a covering to put over the top to enclose the nest. You may only enter an omegas nest if you get permission from the omega. A nest cane be made for comfort, for a heat, and sleeping, it usually is used as a bed of sorts. When an omega gets a mate they will make their nests bigger to accommodate their alpha and the alpha will start sleeping in the nest Packs: packs are close groups of people, there is a pack Alpha, who is the leader. The pack alphas omega is called the Pack Omega. The pack omega helps lead but usually with helping calm and comfort the group instead of commanding. Packs usually all live together, there are pack houses made for this. Any group of people could form a pack, but it must have all types of secondary genders, omegas, betas, and alphas. Omega drop: when an omega goes through a really traumatic experience, or is rejected by their mate (could be for marriage, maybe marking or scenting. Not usual trivial things like them just saying no to something random) the omega will go into a coma like state, called an omega drop. You can stop an omegas drop but you need to catch it quickly, and an omega cannot stop themselves from dropping. This can be deadly Dens: a den is basically an alphas bedroom, it is the alphas space and no one, ever, should enter the room without the alphas permission. It is like a nest as it is sacred to the person, but a den is just a room. If you enter an alphas den without permission you will be attacked most likely, and when an alpha gets a mate (and they live together) the omega will make their nest in the alphas den. Unwanted mating: when an omega goes through its first heat they can entice older alphas into a rut, which might lead to an unwanted mating. If this is not a planned thing, it is seen as okay in the law and not illegal (even if there is an age gap) since the omega mught go into a drop if forced to break the bond. If impregnation happens it is up to the omega and alpha to choose if to keep it. (THEY DO NOT HAVE TAILS!!!)
