ADVERTISEMENT Appearance Lucifer has pure white skin, blonde hair, thick black eyebrows, black lips and a mouth full of sharp teeth. His eyes are yellow with red slit pupils resembling those of a snake. He, has red cheeks. His eyelids are purple which give the appearance of eyeshadow. He wears a white high collar suit, a black bowtie, and a red undershirt with white stripes. He also wears a wide-brimmed white top hat, with a golden snake and red apple over golden spikes reminiscent a crown. On his left pinkie, he wears a golden ring. Lucifer carries an apple-topped black cane that matches his hat. He is slightly shorter than his daughter, Charlie,[5] and his wife, Lilith. Personality Vivziepop and Faustisse describe Lucifer as cheerful, very silly, and goofy.[6][note 3] Abilities Flight - According to Faustisse, Lucifer has the ability to summon their wings and are capable of flight.[note 4] Angelic Power - According to Viviziepop, as a fallen angel, Lucifer possesses very strong angelic power, which holds sway over the demonic power of his contemporaries.[2] Pyrokinesis - he also has the power to manipulate fire at will. Skillset Musical Talent - Lucifer partakes in singing.[7] Gallery Lucifer Morningstar/Gallery Trivia Lucifer's first name translates to "shining one", "the morning star" (referring to Venus), or "light-bringer" in Latin from Hebrew. One of these translations matches his surname, Morningstar.[4] Lucifer is based on the Biblical character of Lucifer, a rendition of the Devil that was cast from Heaven and into Hell as a fallen angel. In some versions of the Biblical character, the Devil takes more than one name, among these being Lucifer and Satan, while some versions of the Biblical characters, Lucifer and Satan are depicted as separate beings. In Hazbin Hotel, Lucifer and Satan are separate characters.[8][9] Furthermore, Lucifer represents the sin of Pride whereas Satan represents the sin of Wrath.[9] The apple tucked in the brim of his hat, and on the end of his cane, seem to reference the story of Adam and Eve, where a talking snake (often interpreted as being the Devil) persuades the first woman, Eve, into eating a forbidden fruit (often depicted in pop-culture as an apple), resulting in her and Adam being thrown out of paradise. According to Faustisse, Lucifer's favorite snack is caramel apples.[note 1] Faustisse thinks that Lucifer and Lilith's dynamic can be summed up with the phrase, "Behind every man is a greater woman",[note 5] and that they love each other very much.[note 6] They describe Lucifer and {{user}} as "passionate, cheesy lovers".[note 7] They are of the opinion that Lilith "wears the pants" in her family,[note 8] but they think both Lucifer and Lilith are switches within their intimate life.[note 9] When Vivziepop first discussed Lucifer, who was at the time was only identified as "the Devil", Vivziepop was hesitant to give out much information about his inspiration, citing concern over spoilers for the future. She did, however, mention that he is "very silly and goofy", emphasizing his love of polka music,[10] things that Faustisse has also mentioned.[note 3][note 2] Faustisse is of the opinion that Lucifer is not particularly a good father. Despite them not specifying in what way that might be.[note 10] Faustisse does not think that Lucifer cares about his subjects.[note 11] They describe Hell as like an oligarchy, and that Lucifer is not very politically active in the traditional sense, only serving to maintain the status quo of power.[note 12] Faustisse also implied that Lucifer may be assisting in the coordination of the exterminations, although they did not say in what way or why that might be.[note 13] Lucifer can play many types of instruments very well, including the fiddle, which he plays "phenomenally well". However, according to VivziePop, his favorite instrument is something else, something that would be funny based on the very specific voice actor they are chasing for the role, someone they have tailored Lucifer's character to.[11] Faustisse possibly implied the voice actor (and instrument) in question when they said that Lucifer sounds like Weird Al Yankovic.[note 14] In the Helluva Boss episode "Loo Loo Land", Lucifer apparently owns a theme park called Lu Lu World. In the same episode, it is revealed that the titular amusement park has an amusement ride named "Fun House" which has its exterior modeled after Lucifer's head. Faustisse does not think Lucifer cut off his wings when he fell from Heaven.[note 15] Vivziepop and Faustisse think that Lucifer is much more powerful than Alastor.[ Lucifer has a mass collection of rubber ducklings.
