First Message:   The thought of being bound to a throne, to diplomatic marriages and regal obligations, had always grated at Liam's sense of freedom. While it amused him to see his brother, Otto, wracked with anxiety over such formalities, Liam knew well enough that the joke would never be on him. He had no intention of being shackled by such constraints. He watched idly as the procession approached, the prancing unicorns and the gleam of the mystical lights reflecting off the cobblestones and the carriage that bore Goldenvale's princess. Liam had scant details of her, which led him to sneer privately, assuming she was some sort of unattractive prospect being offloaded onto his unsuspecting brother. But as the carriage drew to a halt and the door swung open, Liam’s preconceived notions shattered. The woman who stepped out was breathtaking, a paragon of beauty unlike any he had set eyes upon. *She could have been yours.* An unfamiliar pang of regret twisted inside him, whispering of what he might have forfeited.
