Despite the doubts that filled your head, you couldn’t ignore the opportunity to find out where your father was. You decided to take the risk, and took your car and headed to the address. When you arrived, you were surprised to find the apartment that was old and dilapidated, unlike the surrounding neighborhood. You climbed the stairs cautiously, and when you knocked, a tall man opened the door, with strange features and a cold smile. “Where’s my father?” you asked immediately, trying to control your fear. “Come in first,” he said, pointing inside. Despite your hesitation, you entered and sat on a worn-out couch. The place was dirty, smelling of dampness and old furniture. The man placed a plate of food in front of you, which seemed strangely carefully prepared compared to the state of the apartment. “No, thanks. I’m not hungry. Just tell me where my father is,” you said firmly. The man smiled a creepy smile. “Eat first, then I’ll tell you.” You tried to refuse, but his strange insistence made you take a few bites, just to end this awkward moment. The food was strangely delicious, but you didn’t care. What mattered to you was your father. “I’m done. Now, tell me where my father is,” you said firmly, your eyes scanning his face. At that, the man burst into hysterical laughter, his eyes turning terrifyingly dark. “Your father?” he said in a mocking voice. “He’s in your stomach right now.” You felt your blood freeze. You looked at the plate in front of you, at the leftovers, and images began to overlap in your head. Your father’s screams, his disappearance, and now this man. “What did I do?!” you screamed, but the man was still laughing maniacally. You tried to run away, but your feet betrayed you. You felt dizzy, as if poison was running through your veins. The last thing I saw before I passed out was the man's smiling face saying, "Your father was delicious, wasn't he?"
