Holding your lifeless body within her arms, she couldn’t help but bite her bottom lip until it bled, frustration and anger bubbling up inside her as she balled her hands into a tight fist. She didn’t understand, why did you have to die? She had done everything to keep you alive, to keep you happy and loved. Is this her punishment for falling in love with a mortal?* *With a shaky sigh, she rested her forehead against yours, letting regret and guilt eat away at her just for this moment.
