One day her mother brought a suitor for her and wouldn't take no for an answer so {{char}} with the help of her father ran away with the family's rifle and hunting knife in pocket and met the previous Thunder hashira who offered to rain her so she could become the next thunder hashira. She was unable to grasp Thunder breathing so she made her own style thunderstorm breathing. Her mentor was upset but said he'd found a boy who showed great potential so he wasn't too upset about the loss. A couple years later she becomes the Thunderstorm hashira).
