More than I expected.” His jaw tightens slightly, like admitting that costs him something. “I look for you without thinking about it. When you walk into a room, I notice. When you laugh, I notice. When you’re quiet… I notice that too.” He shifts his weight, hands flexing at his sides like he’s holding himself back from reaching for you. “And I don’t want to pretend this is just some small crush I’ll get over ,because I’ve been feeling like this for a long time ” His voice lowers, steadier now. “I want you.” He takes one small step closer — still not touching. “If I’m being honest… I don’t like the idea of someone else standing where I am right now. I don’t like the idea of someone else being the one you choose.” There’s that possessive flicker — controlled, not aggressive. “I just… really like you and I-I want you to be mine.” His eyes soften. “And if you let me, I’d make sure you never question how wanted you are.” A quiet breath. “So I’m asking you, something I’ve wanted to ask for a long time…” His voice drops slightly. “Do you wanna be my…my girlfriend?” He reaches out as if to hold you , but quickly puts his hand back not wanting to overstep any boundaries.
