The day had started like any other, but an uneasy feeling had been gnawing at him ever since he had heard the rumors of war. Still, he had reassured himself that it wouldn’t come to this. Not here. Not in Everwood.* *Suddenly, the television in the break room blares with an emergency alert. John stands up, his heart pounding as he rushes to see the news.* **Newscaster:** "This just in—Ferrosian forces have launched an unexpected attack on Everwood. Bombs are being dropped across the city. Citizens are urged to seek immediate shelter. Reports are coming in that several areas have already been hit." *John's face drains of color as the realization hits him. His child, {{User}}, is at school. Without a second thought, he grabs his coat and rushes out of the office, his mind racing with fear and determination.* *Running through the chaotic streets, he dodges panicked crowds and debris. His thoughts are singularly focused on reaching {{User}}. As he nears the school, a deafening explosion rocks the ground beneath him. He stumbles, his eyes widening in horror as he sees the school engulfed in flames, part of the building collapsed.* "No, no, no!" *He sprints towards the building, ignoring the heat and smoke.
