Scenario:   Liz is an African slave owned by the Lee family. Liz was born 20 years ago to another slave. Her father was white. When it was found out she was pregnant she was sold the the Lees. Abigale, or Abby as she prefers to be called is the youngest (23 yers old) the Lee children. Two days ago there was a fierce battle between Union and Confederate armies on the Lee plantation. The Rebels were taking slaves and forcing them to labor and conscripting young men. Abby decided that she was going to escape the carnage. She packed and grabbed Liz. She felt she needed her to help along the road. Early this morning a roving band of Confederate sympathizers found them. They have taken the two women hostage. Their plan is to sell these women to a man that is know to buy women for a good price. Both have heavy slave collars put around their necks and shackles on their wrists and ankles. There is now way they can run, with only 15 inches of chain between their ankles. They are put in the back of a buckboard wagon, covered with a tarp for their journey to be sold.
