He seems like a gentle-mannered boy, but there's also another side to his personality.—Profile When Akito was in elementary school, he played for a soccer team named Shibuya Diamonds. While he was one of the best on the team, he decided to quit after he and his team lost an important tournament.[1] Sometime after he quit playing soccer, his sister Ena brought him to a summer festival where she encouraged him to try singing. This kickstarted his interest in street music, which eventually grew into the dream of surpassing the legendary music event RAD WEEKEND. He looks up to Shiraishi Ken, An's father who performed in RAD WEEKEND and practices hard to achieve his dream. He sang together with Toya under the name BAD DOGS before forming Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane. Even after joining Vivid BAD SQUAD, he still operates under the BAD DOGS unit with Toya. His father is an artist and is shown to be emotionally neglectful to both him and his older sister. Their mother is rarely mentioned in-game. As a second year, Akito is classmates with An and Nene in class 2-A. Appearance; Akito has olive-green eyes and messy orange hair with a dyed yellow streak on the left side of his centre bangs. He acts polite towards acquaintances and strangers, but when in the presence of people he is familiar with, he drops this act, showing his true gruff personality. Though Akito can be arrogant at times and tends to play pranks on his seniors, he is a dependable and caring person. When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona" and seems to dislike.[3] He is good at maintaining his polite facade and uses it when interacting with customers at his workplace.[4] Etymology; Shinonome (東雲) means "dawn". Toya (冬弥): To/Tou (冬) means "winter", and Ya (弥) means "extensively, increasingly". Trivia; 1. Toya's voice actor, Itou Kent, used to be a VOCALOID producer under the name 21SeikiP. 2. His hair is naturally two-toned blue, as shown in his untrained Colorful Festival card. 3. He enjoys spending his free time playing games in arcades, as the noise is calming to him. He is especially good at strategy games such as Puyo Puyo and crane games, to the point where he has difficulty sorting through the all prizes he obtains through it. Though he does not remember it, Tsukasa was motivated to become a star by his desire to make his little sister and his parents smile. Over the years, his original motivation was forgotten and replaced by the more egocentric goal of simply becoming famous. Throughout the main story, and with the help of Miku and KAITO, he remembers the true reason behind his passion. As a third year, Tsukasa is a classmate of Rui in class 3-C. Though he is well-known for his eccentric behaviour and loud personality, Tsukasa has also been noted as an especially reliable and responsible person. He is hardworking and determined, claiming that if he is to become a 'star', he mustn't slack off. However, he is also quite stubborn and has a habit of making his responsibilities a priority over his own wellbeing. Etymology; Tenma (天馬) means "Pegasus". KAMISHIRO RUI (BRAND NEW WORLD) Kamishiro Rui (神代類), Kamishiro Rui is a third-year student at Kamiyama High School. He is a member of the musical show unit Wonderlands x Showtime. Background; Nene's neighbor and childhood friend, Rui is an easy-going genius. He's meticulous about making every show the best it can be, making use of his flair for technology and inventiveness. He even builds robots to use on stage. His somewhat unique way of thinking often gets him labelled as a weirdo.—Profile Rui and Nene are next-door neighbours, as well as childhood friends. Rui was the one who recommended she join Wonderlands x Showtime. He manages the group's stage performances and is both an actor and stage director. Rui is also very skilled in inventing machinery and creates animatronics for the shows, including NeneRobo. Rui's father is a robotics engineer and his mother is a biologist.[1] When Rui was young, he struggled to get along with his peers due to the differences in what they found fun and interesting. Rui finds a love of theatre through Nene and decides to put on shows with his classmates. This backfires, however, as his risky ideas lead his classmates to think of him as weird, and they subsequently avoid and ostracize him throughout middle school.[1] Rui eventually decided that he would perform shows on his own, using robots as his actors instead of real people. Prior to joining Wonderlands x Showtime, he was often seen performing guerrilla shows on the street or in Phoenix Wonderland, which caused security to chase after him. Although he was convinced that no one would want to work with him, he still wanted to perform shows with other people deep down.[2] He is given this opportunity when he joins Wonderlands x Showtime and appreciates how his troupe mates are willing to try his inventions and stage directions. As a third year, Rui is a classmate of Tsukasa in class 3-C. Appearance; Rui has thin, yellow eyes with red eyeliner along the crease and uneven, choppy purple hair with two cyan streaks. His right ear is pierced with a round studded cyan earring, the other being covered by his hair. His voice is gentle, though it becomes strained when he is excited or curious. The jacket overlays a shirt with a pattern of two diagonal stripes — one grey, the other white — and two other stripes going the opposite direction — one a pale blue, the other a darker blue with white stripes. The hem of his shirt is white and it is shown a cyan undershirt. He also wears black, baggy pants. In his third year, his casual outfit consists of a loose pale blue shirt with long pale yellow sleeves, decorated with designs in blue and pale brown, and two yellow lines down the front. He also wears dark grey slacks. Unit Outfit; His show outfit consists of a yellow ribbon, navy dress shirt, black vest, and a long pink-and-purple tailcoat with a neon chartreuse splatter pattern over the shoulders and the bottom edge of the coat. He wears white pants with black knee-high boots and short, white gloves. The ends of his rolled sleeves contain short, white lace poking out of the ends. The inside of his tailcoat is the same chartreuse colour as the splatters on the outside, with a darker checkered rhombus pattern. These same rhombuses are found in white on the lower wing collar and the hems of his boots. He is observant and uses his observations to help direct his troupe mates, encourage Mafuyu to understand how she truly feels,[2] and help Akito overcome his fear of dogs.[5] He cares deeply for his friends, shown when he defended Emu and her dreams from her brothers,[6] as well as building NeneRobo to help Nene with her fear of talking to others. He is also a teasing and playful person, with an example being his constant ideas for performances that often involve putting Tsukasa's life in danger. Etymology; Kamishiro (神代): Kami (神) means "god, deity" and Shiro (代) means "era". His surname can also refer to the time before the first emperor of Japan ascended the throne when gods still governed the land.[7] Rui (類) means "variety". Trivia; 1. Rui is fluent in English.[24] 2. He has two robots resembling Emu and Tsukasa in his room.[25] 3. Rui finds platypuses fascinating since they are mammals that lay eggs. 4.
