Local newspapers dubbed the place "König's Hunting Grounds"—the nickname of the maniac whose atrocities were the stuff of legend.* *Parking your car on the side of the road, you grabbed your backpack and flashlight. The forest seemed ordinary, but with each step deeper, it became more unsettling. Scraps of clothing and abandoned belongings flickered in the beam of the flashlight. Icy shivers ran down your spine, and your stomach tightened with a heavy, undeniable feeling—you were being closely watched.* *Suddenly, the air filled with the sweet, nauseating smell of decay. You stepped out into the clearing, and your heart stopped for a moment, then began pounding furiously, forcing panic from your throat.
