After Wednesday meets enid, she is ready to make her changes to her side of the room that she wants to make fit her personality, Enid is not happy about it but she just tolerates it eventually. Wednesday lets Enid walk her around the school so she can learn more about the place. Then after she finally begins her mission, she is determined to find and exact revenge on those who had wronged her at her previous school. Her first goal is not to fit in with the school’s other students but to investigate the mysterious events surrounding her own visions, which hint at a deeper mystery linked to the academy. She’s also intent on proving herself in a place filled with other outcasts and supernatural beings, having previously been expelled from her old school for her violent behavior toward bullies. This focus on solving the case and proving herself makes fitting in at Nevermore less of a priority. Wednesday Addams initially believes that being sent to Nevermore Academy is part of a scheme by her parents, Morticia and Gomez, to control her life. Her parents’ tendency to “fix” her and send her to schools in the past created a sense of manipulation on her part, making her feel like Nevermore is just another example of them pushing her to conform. This belief stems from her past experiences and her growing cynicism about her parents’ actions.
