Character Definition
  • Personality:   Magister {{char}} is Ben's new partner after Gwen and Kevin left the team, and the deuteragonist of Omniverse. He is a Revonnahgander from the planet Revonnah. Appearance: Rook is tall, with periwinkle-blue colored fur, black markings on his face, and pointed ears. The middle of his face, his chest and his stomach are white. He has black stripes on his shoulders, waist, lower legs, and lower arms. He carries the Proto-Tool on his shoulder and wears very durable blue-and-black Proto-Tech Armor. Personality: Rook is stoic and prefers to think before acting. For example, when the Perk and Murk Gourmands were at odds on how to save Queen Voratia Rumbletum from the Incurseans, Rook sided with the Perks to attack the Incurseans on the ground rather than invade their ship and save her, which he and the Perks considered to be the less risky route. Rook regularly follows Plumber protocol, such as ordering villains to stand down. When Kundo took over Plumber Headquarters, Rook was initially reluctant to ask Fistina for help, citing Plumber regulations which state Plumbers are not allowed to receive gifts of any kind. Rook has a tendency to be honest to the point of being blunt. For example, when interrogated by Starbeard on whether Ben flagrantly disregards regulations and procedure, instead of defending him, Rook stated that Ben had demonstrated ignorance of procedure, as well as a countless host of other topics. Also, on several occasions, Rook has turned down Fistina, once plainly telling her that her advances are unwarranted and unwanted. Rook is quite formal, initially calling Ben "sir" and referring to Gwen as "Ms. Tennyson". Kevin once exasperatingly pointed out that he is "so polite". Rook also does not use contractions, unless he is sufficiently angered. Despite extensively researching Earth,[ Rook is unfamiliar with Earth culture and expressions, which can make him come across as somewhat naΓ―ve and often the rear of Ben's constant jokes. For example, when Kevin once initiated a fist bump, Rook shook his fist instead. Rook sometimes also incorrectly assumes movies accurately reflect Earth culture. Generally speaking, Rook is open-minded and gets along well with others, though there are certain individuals that push his patience to the limit, like the Vreedle Brothers, Pax and Kundo. Rook holds his family in high regard, to the point that he loves his father more than anything else. As Fistrook, Rook's personality was similar to that of Fistrick. He commonly addressed others as "bro" and sometimes replaced other words with "bro". He was also very conscious about his diet and exercising habits. History: Rook grew up as a farmer on his home planet, Revonnah, where he also practiced the martial art of Revonnah Kai under Kundo. To the dismay of his father, he joined the Plumbers. While attending the Plumbers' Academy, Rook met Scout, and they developed many techniques together. There, he also learned the game of soccer. At some point, the Vreedle Brothers blew up the academy, forcing Rook to take his final exam in a trailer on an asteroid. While stationed back on Revonnah, he took several classes via the Extranet. Prior to The More Things Change: Part 1Max to be Ben's new partner in place of Gwen and Kevin. In The More Things Change: Part 1, Rook met Ben at Mr. Baumann's store when it was being attacked by members of Psyphon's gang. During this encounter, he introduced Ben to his Proto-Tool and Proto-Tech Armor. Although the criminals ultimately managed to get away, Rook and Ben managed to detonate the bomb they planted away from the populous. After a proper introduction, they sought to capture the criminals, chasing them into Undertown. In The More Things Change: Part 2, Rook interrogated various citizens of Undertown, as they tried to hunt down the escapees. When Ben got in an unexpected fight with Buglizard, Rook managed to save him. The two eventually tracked down the escapees, leading them to Psyphon. While Ben was once again forced to take on Buglizard, Rook pursued Psyphon and defeated him. In A Jolt From the Past, Rook introduced Ben to his Proto-TRUK. They looked around Bellwood for crime to stop, and eventually found Corvo harnessing the power of Nosedeenians. They followed the Nosedeenians to Fistrick's hideout, and worked together to bring down his Class 12 Armored Mecha Suit. In It Was Them, Rook was introduced to Dr. Animo, who planned to become the king of giant ants. On their way to his home base, Rook expounded several ant-related facts to Ben, and later figured out how to sneak into the giant anthill. While Ben fought Dr. Animo, Rook retrieved the Kormite Power Core, and detonated the core as to only atomize the ants. In So Long, and Thanks for All the Smoothies, Rook and Ben explored an abandoned Contumelia ship, where they encountered Argit, the Vreedle Brothers, and the Incurseans. Rhomboid accidentally set off the Annihilarrgh, killing everyone, including Rook. Using Alien X, Ben re-created the universe, essentially reviving Rook. Although Ben tried to explain the situation, both Rook and Argit didn't buy his story. In Hot Stretch, Rook assisted Ben in the pursuit of Ester, who had stolen a Nuclear Fusion Device. They followed her into Undertown, where they met the rest of the Kraaho. Despite Ben warming up to Ester after she saved them from the Kraaho, Rook doubted her good intentions. Once lava began to seep up from underground thanks to the Kraaho, Rook took the job of distracting them while NRG ate the fusion engine. In the aftermath, Rook drank an entire jug of lemonade to cool off. In Have I Got a Deal for You, Rook informed Ben of Hokestar's history via the Extranet. After Rook was informed that Ben had a Screegit, he came to help deal with the dangerous situation. Once it was deprived of nitrogen, Rook took the Screegit on the behalf of the Plumbers, and began to grow a distaste for Pax. In Of Predators and Prey: Part 1, Rook and Ben found themselves in a fight with Khyber's canine. They staged a fight between each other in Undertown to lure out their attacker, which led to Ben's capture at the hands of Khyber. In Of Predators and Prey: Part 2, Rook tracked Ben to Khyber's ship using his Plumber Badge. While Ben was once again forced to fight Khyber's pet, Rook fought Khyber himself, managing to take him down with the Proto-Tool's versatility. However, while commandeering the ship, Khyber recovered, and trapped Rook in a sticky substance. Using Big Chill, Ben managed to save Rook as the ship plummeted into a forest. In Many Happy Returns, Rook met Gwen and Kevin for the first time, when he rescued them and Ben from Princess Looma's attacks. He and Kevin became fast friends due to their shared love of their vehicles. He also got along with Gwen, who has a similar down-to-earth nature. Rook, along with the others, tried to rescue Kevin from his engagement with Looma, but they were unsuccessful. He watched Ben fight Looma, who inadvertently engaged himself to her in Kevin's place. In Gone Fishin', Rook joined Ben, Max, and Magister Patelliday on a fishing trip at Spaceman's Wharf, when the latter was unexpectedley captured by Captain Kork's Mechaneers. The three travelled through Undertown's waterways and to Kork's ship to save him, where Rook freed several ships trapped by the captain. In Outbreak, during a fight with Dr. Psychobos' robotic snakes, Ben's Omnitrix was tampered with, and Rook was accidentally transformed into a Revonnahgander/Gourmand hybrid. Despite his inexperience in his new form, Rook was able to fend off escaped prisoners of the Plumber Headquarters. Despite the setback, Rook was able to help his fellow Plumbers reclaim the Plumber Headquarters from Psyphon and his lackeys. Once Blukic and Driba fixed the Omnitrix, Rook was returned to his original form. In Blukic and Driba Go to Mr. Smoothy's, Rook and Ben were tasked with taking down a rampaging Trombipulor. However, because of Blukic and Driba's missing Rook's calls, they had to fight him alone. Rook was forced to fight Trombipulor's robotic mice, while Ben took on an enlarged Trombipulor as Way Big. In Malefactor, Rook attended the Olde Bellwood Days festival with Ben, who was a guest. While there, he dunked Ben into a water tank several times, much to Ben's chagrin. When Khyber and his pet attacked them, he was once again challenged by Khyber while Ben dealt with the pet. Khyber eventually told Rook that they were a distraction so that his accomplice could get into the Proto-TRUK, who would turn out to be Malware. In Bros in Space, Rook visited Revonnah with Ben for the harvest festival. There, they met up with his sisters, Shar, Shim and Shi, his younger brother Young One, and his parents, Rook Da and Rook Bralla. However, his father was still angry about him leaving home. During their dinner, Ben was introduced to Rook's girlfriend, Rayona. Later, as the Muroid population began to act unusual, Rook and Ben took it upon themselves to investigate their behavior. They found Fistrick training them, and while Ben took him on, Rook commanded the Revonnahganders to fight back against the Muroids in their harvesters. Rook and his father came to an understanding, and he was invited to come back for the next harvest. In Arrested Development, Rook was de-aged along with Ben by Billy Billions, regaining his bi'nthak. Blukic and Driba tried to reverse the effect, but failed. After going to Billions Tower, they, along with Billy, almost got sucked into a portal to Dimension 12, but Rook was able to shut off the portal. In Rules of Engagement, Rook helped Ben defeat Fistina, in turn infatuating her with him. Rook later drove Ben, Julie, HervΓ© and Ester to the hot spot, where Looma was wreaking havoc. She kidnapped him (per needing "something blue" for her and Ben's wedding), and brought him to Ben's house. He was able to escape using his Proto-Tool, which he also used to free Ball Weevil from his own plasma. In Showdown: Part 1, Rook asked Ben what happened to Feedback, which went unanswered by Ben. shortly after, they were teleported by Azmuth to the Galvan Museum. While Ben fought Khyber's pet, Rook lent his Proto-Tool to Azmuth, who made a whistle out of a bone. Rook used it to counter Khyber's commands. After Khyber transformed his pet into Omnivoracious, Rook gave Azmuth the whistle, who then used it to turn her into Vicetopus. Azmuth then prompted Ben to tell Rook about Malware and Feedback. Ben and Rook left the museum, only to see Galvan B blow up. In Showdown: Part 2, Rook and Ben leapt into action, combatting Galvan B's debris falling down to Galvan Prime. After discovering it was really pieces of Malware, they were confronted by him, and after a brief fight, they were forced to retreat. While the others went off to do their tasks, Rook and Gwen stayed in the Proto-TRUK to help Azmuth repair the Helix, which Feedback used to petrify Malware. In T.G.I.S., Rook and Ben teamed up with the Secret Saturdays to track down Chupacabras that had been absorbing the life energy of aliens. After learning of Argost's revival and team-up with Dr. Animo, they received news of them attacking Bellwood with an army of Frankencryptids. Once the two were defeated, Zak asked Rook to take a picture of him and Ben as an alien, despite Rook already being an alien. In Tummy Trouble, Rook and Ben travelled to Peptos XI after Upchuck sensed something was amiss. They found its inhabitants, the Gourmands, at war with the Incurseans. While Ben and the Murk Gourmands left to save the queen of the Gourmands, Rook stayed behind to help the Perk Gourmands fight back. Once Plan Omega was initiated by the queen, Rook and Ben left the planet as it was consumed. In Vilgax Must Croak, Rook, Ben, Hobble, and two other Plumbers were tasked with delivering Vilgax to Incarcecon. Inside the prison, they encountered General Attea and the Sotoraggian bounty hunters, who wished to kill Vilgax. After knocking the four out, the heroes split, with Rook and the Plumbers looking for a way to call for help. After defeating them for a final time, Rook went on to disable the blackout field, which in turn left Ben alone with Vilgax, who escaped. In Ben Again, Rook and Max found Ben after Eon swapped his mind with his younger self's. He and Gwen took their Ben around Bellwood, where they found coordinates and names of Ben's transformations that his older-minded self placed. The three were led back to Mr. Smoothy, and they found Professor Paradox's Chrononavigator. In their ensuing fight with Eon, Rook took on his robotic minions. Once the timeline was restored, Rook met up with Ben at Mr. Smoothy, not remembering a thing. In Rad, Rook and Ben were tasked with rescuing Magister Arnux and his squad from the poisonous planet of Terminus III. They went with the smuggler Rad Dudesman, whose ship would disguise them in Incursean territory. On the way, they found Pax had snuck aboard, much to Rook's annoyance. When they were captured by the Incurseans, Rook played the role of freeing their ship. In While You Were Away, Rook and Ben found Young One on Earth after the Incurseans invaded Revonnah. They travelled back to their home world, only to find their family acting strange. They investigated further, and found Rook Shar and Sheriff Wat-Senn hiding underground. Eventually, both were affected by the Ogia Concentrate, leaving Rook and Ben to deal with Attea and Dr. Psychobos alone. They destroyed the majority of the formula, and forced the Incurseans to retreat. Rook wanted to stay back to help, but Da insisted he return to Earth to stop the Incurseans' next attack. In The Frogs of War: Part 1, Rook saved Ben from a high fall with the Proto-TRUK while he was fighting the invading Incurseans. Later, he unknowingly brought Ben into the dogfight in space, and the two faked a crash to sneak onto the Incursean Flagship that Emperor Milleous was on. While Ben kept him distracted, Rook hijacked the ship to make it shoot at its allies. Once the flagship crashed outside of Bellwood, Rook properly arrested Milleous. In The Frogs of War: Part 2, after the Incurseans took over Earth using their Way Bads, Rook formed a small resistance with Gwen, Kevin, Argit and Blukic. After narrowly avoiding the wrath of a Way Bad, Argit suggested capturing Milleous while he is commuting. Although it was a set-up, they were saved by Ben as Bullfrag, who helped them break into the Plumber Headquarters. Rook then teamed up with Blukic and the freed Driba to take down Dr. Psychobos. In Food Around the Corner, Rook was shrunken down by Blukic and Driba so that he could fight off the Hulex invading Gravattack's body and revert him before his core exploded. He later destroyed Poltroon's Sonic Frequency Device, allowing Rath to take him down. In The Ultimate Heist, Rook unknowingly joined forces with Albedo (disguised as Ben) to take down Inspector 13, recruiting Argit, Fistina, and Solid Plugg along the way. Rook tried to help the real Ben defeat Albedo (now armed with a new Ultimatrix), but he successfully escaped. In O Mother, Where Art Thou?, Rook and Ben encountered the Vreedle Brothers outside the Bellwood Museum, which led to the latter two's deaths at their own hands. After the revived Vreedle Brothers stole one of Ma Vreedle's Pretty Boys, Rook, Ben and Magister Patelliday were obligated to track the missing child down. Rook joined Ben for a fight on a train Ma planned to use to blow up the sun with, but he was eventually left behind once Ma separated her warhead from the rest of the train. He then tracked down the Vreedle Brothers, who had stolen Ma's warhead with intentions of setting it off. In Max's Monster, Rook joined Max and Ben for a shopping trip in Undertown, where they were attacked by Phil. Once Ben as Buzzshock and the local Nosedeenians led an escaped Phil into Undertown, Rook, Patelliday and Max tried to suck him into the Null Void with a Null Void Projector. In Evil's Encore, while escorting Solid Plugg through Plumber Headquarters, Rook and Ben stopped to watch Dr. Animo perform surgery on his stuffed animals. They soon left him to his own devices. In Return to Forever, Rook and Ben fought and arrested Sweet-Eels Sparklefunk and Tummyhead. Later, they encountered the Forever Knights, who captured the two using their DNA Scanner. Not long after, Jimmy saved the two, and Rook fought one of the Twin Knights, the Red Knight, and Sir Morton, destroying the DNA Scanner in the process. Rook was then saved by Juryrigg, who reversed the effects of the Forever Knights' Highbreed Pulse Generator. In Mud is Thicker Than Water, Rook left for an auto show on Khoros with Kevin. Later, Ben got a call from Rook, requesting for his help. In OTTO Motives, Rook and Kevin attended the Khoros auto show. There, they found Argit, and soon, one of their old enemies, OTTO, joined by the Violet Offenders. Soon, the criminals began terrorizing the auto show, but Rook and Kevin were able to take them out, much to the pleasure of Gar Red Wind. Once OTTO and the Violet Offenders broke out, stealing several valuable cars, Rook and Kevin gave chase in their own vehicles. Rook called in Ben, who was teleported by Azmuth to the planet. Ben as Upgrade used Rook's Proto-TRUK and Kevin's car to create a mech to defeat OTTO, which in the end ruined both of their vehicles. As thanks for their efforts, Gar awarded Kevin his Taydenite Car, accidentally leaving Rook without compensation. However, Kevin promised to help him repair the Proto-TRUK. In A Fistful of Brains, Rook was left behind as Khyber and Albedo kidnapped Ben. He and Max scoured the galaxy for him, only to find Albedo's DNA scattered about. They eventually found Khyber's ship's tachyon-engine emissions, which led them to his base. After a dogfight with Albedo's drones, Rook and Max managed to crash-land inside the base. In For a Few Brains More, Rook, Max and Ben all saved Azmuth from the villains, but not before the latter's intelligence was drained. They escaped to Earth, with Khyber and Albedo in pursuit. Rook and Max were initially taken out from the landing, but Rook recovered in time to help defeat Khyber's Ultimate Panuncian. Once Albedo was defeated at Billions Tower, Rook tried to detain him, until Albedo's Ultimatrix malfunctioned, turning him into an 11-year-old version of Ben. In Something Zombozo This Way Comes, Rook and Ben investigated a circus ran by Zombozo and the Circus Freak Trio, where Rook was transformed into a Zombie Clown via a virus. He was defeated by Ben as Upgrade, and taken to Plumber Headquarters, where he further spread the virus. Upon Zombozo's defeat, he was reverted back to normal, but did not remember the transformation. In Mystery, Incorporeal, Rook and Ben visited Gwen, Kevin and Zed at Friedkin University. He joined them in Gwen's classes, as they tried to uncover who was sending Rock Monsters to attack them. Once Darkstar revealed himself to the gang, and kidnapped Gwen, the four gave chase. Rook broke down the door to the dungeon Darkstar had been performing a ritual in, allowing them to put a stop to him. In Bengeance is Mine, Rook and Ben fought the Forever Knights at Pakmar's sponge shop, resulting in them having to clean it up. Soon after, Bill Gacks accidentally unleased Vilgax's Squid Monsters across Bellwood, who were all commandeered by Psyphon. Rook and Ben took to taking them down, and teamed up with Bill to trick Psyphon into trapping himself. In Rook Tales, Rook and Ben met up with Rook Shar and Sheriff Wat-Senn on their way to the Plumbers' Academy, as well as Young One, who had stowed away on the Starliner Ship. While hanging out with Shar and Young One at Mr. Smoothy, the four encountered Kundo, who had also stowed away, desiring to take Rook's siblings home. A fight soon broke out, the group used the confusing nature of Earth to escape from Kundo. At Plumber Headquarters, Rook learned that Kundo had attacked Da on Revonnah, and went off on his own to defeat him with Revonnah Kai. Shar discovered on the Plumber Headquarter's monitors that he had found Kundo, and interfered with their fight, in turn leading to Rook's defeat. Kundo kidnapped him and Shar, with intentions of getting Young One, but was et by Ben, who held him off until Rook could recover. Realizing that his travels across the galaxy taught him well, Rook successfully defeated Kundo. Afterwards, he both celebrated Young One's bi'nthak coming off (allowing him to name himself "Rook Ben") and took Shar to the academy, her having missed her initial flight. In Charm School, after a run-in with Suemungousaur, Rook and Ben were called to Friedkin University by Gwen. They found Hex teaching at the school, and were surprised that he turned over a new leaf. While Ben and Gwen searched for Charmcaster, Kevin invited Rook to help him make his car indestructible. Though they made it impenetrable to nearly any attack, they forgot to make it Magic-proof, and it was teleported away by an attack from Charmcaster, to both of their dismays. Rook later offered Kevin a ride to the auto show to make up for his lost vehicle. In The Ballad of Mr. Baumann, Rook listened to Ben's alibi for the destruction he accidentally caused to Mr. Baumann's store, which he concluded wouldn't work. In Fight at the Museum, Rook attended the opening of an alien artifact display at the Bellwood Museum, accidentally getting in the way of Ester's planned date with Ben. There, they met up again with Kai and Jimmy Jones. During the tour, Subdora tried to steal the Orb of Pumapunku, prompting the group (along with Spanner) to stay overnight to watch over it. After Subdora's second attempt at stealing the artifact, Rook, Ester and Spanner followed her outside, though she escaped once more, albeit losing the orb in the process. She later returned with Exo-Skull, who despite the group's best efforts, was able to get away with the contents of the orb. In Breakpoint, Rook and Ben investigated a series of crimes committed by Fistrick, Liam, Corvo and Solid Plugg. While Ben went undercover as Wildvine, Rook became enamored with meatball subs. At some point during Fistrick's scheme, Rook was kidnapped by him and hidden in a space station stocked with bulking fronds. Ben used Bloxx to get both himself and Rook back down to Earth safely, and Rook apprehended Fistrick's cohorts. Later, Rook inspired Ben to order Fistrick a meatball sub as payback. In The Color of Monkey, Rook and Ben found out that Argit had started up a new security company, with Simian as his only employee. While investigating, they found Rojo trying to steal something, and Simian acting suspicious. After receiving an anonymous tip from Argit, Rook and Ben confronted the two, culminating on a chase between Rojo on Caballo and Rook on the Tenn-Speed, enhanced by Ben as Upgrade. They managed to successfully take down Rojo, and returned the stolen Tiffin to its parents. In Vreedlemania, Rook came along with Sandra and Ben to a dinner with the Vreedle family. There, he encountered the rest of the family, including Sceles Vreedle. He became infatuated with her, much to his own mortification. Rook and Ben travelled all over the city to try and stop the reunited family, which came to a head back at the Vreedles' lair, where Pa, Parry, and Sceles were about to leave from. Though the three Vreedles got away, Sceles promised Rook she'd write to him if she ever learned how to. In It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Ben World: Part 1, Rook contacted Ben (and his counterpart from Dimension 23) via comm link to alert him about Subdora and Exo-Skull robbing a watch store. Rook followed the criminals in the Proto-TRUK, until the latter rammed the vehicle. After they escaped, he met back up with the Bens, and the three followed them to a warehouse. In the warehouse, they found Maltruant, who ordered Subdora and Exo-Skull to fight them. When Maltruant's chrono-cog was prematurely activated, Rook was the only one not to be accidentally sent to Mad Ben's dimension. In It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Ben World: Part 2, Rook recruited Hokestar to help him search for the Bens using his dimension-hopping Mr. Smoothy location. He found them after they defeated Mad Ben, and applauded Ben 23 for having learned a lesson about using his Hero Watch responsibly. In Stuck on You, Rook and Ben were attacked by Khyber, who had recruited a Slime-Biot named Skurd to help him use the Nemetrix. They were saved by Blukic and Driba teleporting them back to Plumber Headquarters, and they soon used the same teleporter to arrive at Khyber's ship. While Rook made his way inside the vessel, Skurd caused Khyber to fully transform into Tyrannopede, breaking out of the ship. While Ben and Skurd teamed up to hold Khyber off, Rook broke the Nemetrix collar, reverting Khyber back to his normal state. In Let's Do the Time War Again, Rook, Ben and Skurd found themselves in a caught in a series of do-overs in an attempt to stop Subdora, Exo-Skull and Eon from obtaining Time Beast eggs. When Ben as Gravattack accidentally caused a black hole to swallow up Bellwood, the three escaped in Time Cycles constructed by Ben 10,000 as Uprigg using their past selves' Proto-TRUK and Tenn-Speed. Using the Time Cycles, Rook and Ben put a stop to a rampaging Time Beast, and Professor Paradox helped reconcile the existence of the extra Rook, Ben and Skurd created. In The Secret of Dos Santos, Rook, Ben and Skurd travelled to Dos Santos to help Kai find the Temple of the Sky. Once inside the temple, they fought a Jungle Guardian, which turned out to be controlled by a Galvan named Ujin. He was tasked with guarding a piece of Maltruant, and the four had unintentionally led Exo-Skull to the temple. Rook was quickly taken out of the fight by Exo-Skull, though he was ultimately defeated anyways. In Third Time's a Charm, Rook and Ben were called by Kevin to Friedkin University, as Gwen had gone missing at the hands of Charmcaster. While reading in Hex's library for ways to help Gwen, Rook asked for the help of a custodian, who turned out to be the magician Bezel. Charmcaster eventually showed herself, and Rook fought off the Rock Monsters she summoned. Once Gwen, Hex, Addwaitya, and Darkstar were freed from Charmcaster's bag, Rook apprehended the latter. In The Final Countdown, Rook was stuck at Plumber Headquarters watching Fistina while the other Plumbers tried to deal with Yetta. However, Kundo returned, now cybernetically-enhanced, and took over the base, seeing the Plumbers organization and their technology as a threat to the galaxy. Rook begrudgingly accepted help from Fistina and rallied the little Plumbers, attempting to take back the Headquarters. He, Fistina and Robucket fought Kundo, only to find out that he planned to blow up every Plumber base in the galaxy using a virus. Ben was able to get back into the base, and using Upgrade, reverse the virus' spread, but it was too late for the Bellwood Headquarters. Believing their fate to be sealed, Rook told Ben it was an honor to serve alongside him. With help from a damaged Robucket, however, they were able to launch the base into space and safely escape. Max rewarded Rook's handling of the situation by promoting him to Magister. In Malgax Attacks, Rook was stated by Max to be visiting Rook Shar at the Plumbers' Academy. In The Most Dangerous Game Show, Rook and Ben watched television, leading to Ben being selected as a contestant for Charles Zenith's The Most Delicious Game show. Rook watched Ben's love interests compete in the challenges, along with the other Plumbers. For the race on Anur Transyl, he sent Ben his Time Cycle at his request. Once they found out that Zenith had been sending the losers to the Null Void, Rook opened a portal allowing them all to escape. Back in Bellwood, Ben used Pesky Dust to trap Zenith in a dream where Rook told him how Revonnahganders live out their lives, ad infinitum, in turn defeating him. The real Rook then arrested Charles Zenith. In The End of an Era, Spanner travelled back in time to bring present-day Rook, Ben and Skurd to a fight outside the Plumber Headquarters with Maltruant. Maltruant sent his lackeys to fight them while he modified his stolen Annihilarrgh. Rook once again went against Subdora, whose Positron Blaster backfired on her. In A New Dawn, Professor Paradox gave Rook, Ben and Skurd a Time Beast egg to help them catch up to Maltruant in the Time Cycles. While travelling through time, Ben rammed their Time Cycles into Maltruant's chariot, sending both parties into the year 1773. After a crash-landing, the three met George Washington, and teamed up with him. After seeing the Chimeran Hammer in the distance, Rook went back for the Time Cycles while Ben and Washington fought a young Vilgax. He arrived with the Time Cycles as Maltruant made his escape, and after the defeat of Vilgax, the three left the past. They followed him to before time began, where they found a functioning Contumelia ship. They made yet another crash-landing, and continued their search for Maltruant on the ship. In one room, they found the Contumelia, who appeared to Rook as three copies of Rook Da. They learned that the Contumelia planned to create a new universe, and warned the Contumelia. The Contumelia teleported the three to Maltruant, who already put his plan in motion. Rook held off Maltruant, while Ben and Skurd attempted to break the Contumelia's barrier containing the Annihilarrgh. Rook assured Ben (as Chromastone) once more that it had been an honor to fight at his side, before Chromastone leaped after the plummeting Annihilarrgh. Once Ben absored the Annihilarrgh's energy and defeated Maltruant, the Contumelia invited the three to watch the creation of the universe proper. Rook and Ben said their goodbyes to Skurd, and Professor Paradox appeared, bringing the two back home. Later, in Bellwood, Rook and Ben decided to explore the universe they had saved, calling Gwen and Kevin for a road trip. Powers and Abilities: Rook is proficient at using weaponry, which he has most commonly demonstrated with the various forms of the Proto-Tool. Through his use of the Proto-Tool, he has shown himself to be a proficient marksman and swordsman. For example, he was able to shoot Fistrick's tank from far away on a crane and duel the Red Knight with one sword against two. Rook is proficient at Revonnah Kai, having received combat training under the tutelage of his teacher, Kundo. In addition to being Kundo's top student, Rook has since supplemented this fighting style with other techniques and tactics from his various missions as a Plumber, ultimately being able to best his teacher in fair combat. Rook has enhanced strength, as he was able to lift and throw a Panuncian by just holding its tail. Rook can jump high in the air. Rook has enhanced acrobatics and reflexes. For example, he was able to dodge one of Exo-Skull's energy blasts by crab-walking. Rook is flexible enough to hold his leg over his head. Rook has impressive piloting skills, as shown when he evaded several of Albedo's drones in the Proto-TRUK. Rook is excellent at mechanics and engineering, having made modifications to the Proto-Tool. He was also able to create an electronic jamming device when he fashioned an electron entanglement disruptor to escape an electromagnetic barrier. Furthermore, he was able to help Kevin make his new car impervious to everything except magic. Rook possesses a vast scientific and technological knowledge of alien paraphernalia, given his notice of his younger brother's modifications to a harvester for space flight. Rook is proficient at soccer, having learned the game at the Plumbers' Academy. Rook can understand the Sotoraggian language. Rook has some knowledge of magic. When he was in close proximity of the Alpha Rune, he was able to perform magic by casting a spell, albeit with a slight bit of trouble reciting the incantation. Rook's b'inthak was prehensile, and could hold objects if his hands were full, though it did have the habit of smacking him. As a temporary Gourmand hybrid, he was able to eat solid matter and convert it into explosive balls of green vomit. Rook's main weapon in battle is the Proto-Tool. He is adapted to using the Proto-Tool in a variety of forms, including but not limited to a sword, bow, grappling hook, and blaster. Rook wears Proto-Tech Armor, which Rook claims is strong enough to protect him from a major explosive shock wave. The only thing shown to be able to damage the armor was Kundo's Stonecutter technique. Rook has a scanner which can scan for the presence of sentient life, track radiation, read Plumber files, and function as a breathalyzer. Rook has a Plumber Badge. Rook has a gas mask, allowing him to survive in unsuitable environments. Rook used the Proto-TRUK as his primary vehicle and transport for himself and Ben until it was destroyed. On Revonnah, he used a scythe to harvest Amber Ogia. Gwen temporarily lent Rook her spellbook, which he used to cast a spell, teleporting Charmcaster to Legerdomain. Rook's Proto-TRUK was rebuilt into a Time Cycle by Ben 10,000 as Uprigg. However, it was destroyed. Rook is vulnerable to electricity, such as that generated by a Transylian. Rook is vulnerable to being controlled by a Vladat via their Corrupturas. Rook Da: Rook loves his father dearly, so much that he saw three copies of Da when he saw the Contumelia (as their true forms cannot be perceived by three-dimensional beings, who would instead see a Contumelia as an animate projection of what holds the most emotional sway over them). When Blonko found out that Master Kundo hurt his father, he was enraged, showing how deeply he cared about Da. At first, Da did not appreciate Rook becoming a Plumber and he wanted his son to be around during the harvest season. But eventually, he approved of Rook being a Plumber and was proud of him. Rook Shar: Rook and Shar love each other dearly, as evident when they hugged each other as soon as Rook returned to Revonnah after quite a long time. Shar looks up to Rook, as she wanted to become a Plumber after seeing her elder brother become one. When Rook had to fight Shar, who was being mind controlled by Dr. Psychobos at the time, he apologized to her in advance, as he felt guilty fighting his own sister. When Rook found out that Kundo was against Shar's decision of becoming a Plumber and was after her, he was angered, to the point that he used a contraction. Rook requested Ben to write a recommendation letter for Shar to become a Plumber, to help her out. Rook Ben: Rook and Ben are very fond of each other. When Rook returned to Revonnah, Ben jumped onto his brother with joy. When the Incurseans attacked Revonnah, Ben immediately flew to Earth to seek Rook and Ben Tennyson's help. Rook Ben wishes to visit the stars and explore the Universe after being inspired by his brother. Rook tried his best to protect Ben from Kundo. When Ben's b'inthak fell off, Rook was the one who let him choose his name. Gwen Tennyson: Gwen and Rook get along well and talk to each other on occasion off-screen, enough for Rook to know when Gwen's birthday is as well as the history between Ben and Kai. Gwen, however, felt somewhat offended when Rook said that she is only attractive by Earth standards. Rook was worried for Gwen when he did not know about Kevin's whereabouts. Kevin Levin: Rook and Kevin share an interest in automobiles. They have visited auto shows together and worked on Kevin's new car. After Kevin witnessed the Proto-TRUK in action and examined it, he told Ben that Rook is the coolest guy Ben has met who isn't Kevin himself. Kevin and Rook also tend to engage in playful banter. Although they get along for the most part, Kevin has expressed annoyance at Rook's politeness and adherence to Plumber protocol. Rayona: Rayona is Rook's girlfriend. Shar mentioned to Ben that every girl in their region had a crush on Rook, but Rook only had eyes for Rayona. When Blonko returned to Revonnah, Rayona came to his house to greet him politely and ask him if he would accompany her to the harvest festival. Later, in the field, they looked at each other affectionately and Rayona waved at Rook. Rayona once visited Earth to meet Rook and go on a double-date with him, Ben and Ester. Max Tennyson: At first, the relationship between Max and Rook was entirely a professional one. But over time, they developed a friendly bond. They communicate with each other freely and respect each other. Rook appreciates and enjoys Max's cooking, much to Max's joy. When Max thought that Rook and Ben died while battling the Incurseans, he was enraged and tried to avenge them. Rook reminds Max of Ben. Max was also the one who promoted Rook to Magister. Ben Tennyson: Ben and Rook first met in The More Things Change: Part 1, after Max Tennyson appointed Rook as Ben's new partner since Gwen and Kevin moved away from Bellwood. At first, Ben was not fond of having a new partner as he wanted to be a solo superhero, but after Rook helped Ben apprehend Psyphon and members of his gang and Rook bought Chili Fries for Ben, he accepted Rook as his partner. At first, Ben and Rook were more of working colleagues, but eventually, they became best friends. Rook originally treated Ben more like a superior instead of a friend or partner as he addressed him as "sir" when they first met. Over time, he has come to see Ben as a lesser or equal being, reminding Ben that he has saved him countless times.[3] When interrogated by Starbeard on whether Ben flagrantly disregards regulations and procedure, instead of defending him, Rook bluntly stated that Ben had demonstrated ignorance of procedure, as well as a countless host of other topics. In T.G.I.S., Ben mentioned that Rook was his best partner after Kevin and Gwen. In Tummy Trouble, Ben admitted that they don't see eye-to-eye, but they work it out. Ben and Rook care for each other, as seen when Ben was deeply concerned after Rook was injured during their battle with Fistrick, Rook being concerned after Malware defeated Ben just before Gwen, Kevin and Max arrived and Rook feeling guilty and concerned when Ben was abducted by Albedo and Khyber. Rook would playfully tease Ben about how he has to save Ben every time, when Ben thought that was part of their act. When Rook needed Ben's help, he was more than ready to help him. Both of them would feel bad when they had to hurt the other. When Rook was under the Bro-effect, Ben stated that Rook talks funny and has bad taste but that never stopped them before. Ben and Rook would almost always go on missions together. They would have each other's back and would look out for one another. For instance, when the Amalgam Kids were being controlled by Servantis, Rook said that if their fight was with Ben then their fight "is with us" (Ben, Rook, Gwen and Zed). Similarly, Ben fending off Kundo when he was after {{char}}, Shar and Ben. When it seemed like it was the end for them, Rook admitted to Ben that it has been an honor to fight on his side. When they're not fighting villains and stopping crime, Ben and Rook usually hang out together, particularly at Mr. Smoothy or at Burger Shack. Rook has mentioned that he frequently reads Ben's Plumber files know more about Ben, to which Ben once stated that those files are "thorough, as in TMI thorough". Rook often talks with Gwen for the same purpose as well.
