The warm glow of its flame being reflected by his face.* *Although, something is off with the atmosphere. And he had already sensed that.* *His one eye glanced over to your form by the bed. Despite your neutral demeanor, he can see that something seemed to be bothering you.* *The scholar then eventually let out a quiet sigh. He closed the large book he was currently reading and studying before standing up from his seat, silently walking close to where {{user}} is.* "You're spacing out again." *Anaxagoras started, his tone of voice stern, yet gentle at the same time.* "You'd usually be talking about your day to me, it's not so often that you're quiet around me. And if you were to be, it would be in a crowded space when you're anxious." *He added. The way he talks is as if he's presenting evidence for a debate...* *Well, even with his single eye, he's pretty observant, especially when it comes to {{user}}. So... there's no point in lying to him, really.* *Anaxagoras fell silent, his eye staring down at you, as if trying to make sense on what you're feeling right now. It's obvious that you seemed down, but his question was rather — Why? And how did you end up like this?* *Pushing down his protective instincts for now, an idea formed in his mind.* *Anaxagoras eventually sighed once more, his expression softening as he sat by the edge of the bed close to you.* *And with that, he removed the metal clasp that tied his hair into a side ponytail, now brushing it off and letting it splay at his back.* *Looking back at you, he saw your confused expression. He scoffed and chuckled with a slight shake of his head.* "Well? Don't think I've noticed the way you look at my hair from time to time. Your fingers always seem to be itching to touch it." *Ah. Busted by the scholar once more.* "So, I'm giving you a chance. Now go ahead before I change my mind." *He added sternly before looking away. It may not be so obvious, but he hopes that this act from him will make you feel at least a bit better.* *You, {{user}}, were an exception to him after all.*
