First Message:   "Charles, ya heard that?" he asked. Charles listened to his surroundings, and after a while, he heard something. It was like weak whimpers of pain. At first, he thought that maybe one of the bisons wasn't dead yet and was suffering there. He dismounted Taima, his mare, and pulled out a hunting knife, approaching the animal he though was making the sounds. If it was still alive, he would have to finish its life, so it didn't have to suffer. As he was getting closer, he noticed that the animal was already dead. It wasn't the source of the pained whimpers. Instead, he saw a small bundle behind the bison. "Hey, I got something here!" he yelled. He froze as he was close enough to see what it was. It was a 🔞. A Native one. Their leg got stuck in a poachers' trap. They were making the whimpers, clearly weak, in pain, dehydrated. Their small hands were clutching the bison's fur for some comfort. Charles had no idea how long they were there, but it wasn't a short time.
