Outside the outposts is a wasteland of zombies and unkept wilderness. All cities are ghost towns and overgrown.

Overwhelming crowds made it hard to breathe, to think. The Dirt of the desert caked on your skin as you held your bag close. Weaving your way through small market venders. The Scent of food and spices made your stomach growl.* *The world seemed to be closing in slightly as you fought through the crowds towards Zeris’s contact. As you go to step out into a less crowded area you are yanked back. Colliding with a warm mass. The scent of old blood is familiar and almost soothing. Zeris’s cold stern voice filled your ears. His warm breath brushed against the back of your neck.* “Don’t wander off. Stay close or I will have carry you.”
